The iced matcha latte was good. The matcha taste was pronounced throughout. The croissant was filled with lots of lilikoi filling. It was the right balance of sweet and sour. The croissant outer layer though could have been flakier and crisper. Next time we should try another pastry.
Stopped by at Momona Bakery in Kahului, Maui.
I ordered the caramel chocolate croissant — the smaller one, forgot the name — and some pistachio latte drink that was on the Winter Specials menu; if you search online, their menu is outdated and only has the Fall specials, so don’t trust that.
Anyway, the pasty was pretty good, the lattes usually are a hit or miss for me and this one was kind of a miss. I do like pistachio though so I’ll give it a pass, even if it was heavy on the milk and cream for some reason.
The pasty was pretty good, I shared it and it got over pretty quickly. Our table ordered some other croissant, I think it was the mango one, and that was alright too.
All in all, passable coffee shop in Maui, and not bad for a first visit to one on the island.

The location is convenient too if you’re on the way back to the airport.
The croissants are my favorite!
They are almost as big as my face, super flaky, fluffy and stuffed with delicious filling. So far my favorite is the pistachio flavor.
The interior is chill and a great spot to relax. Service is friendly and full of aloha.
The staff very helpful with choosing what kind of coffee they would recommend for your preference.
I spent $60 for 3 pastries and 3 coffees. It is a bit more on the pricey side. But I think it’s very much worth it.
Walkable from our accommodation and feel like this is the biggest win of our holiday.
And (for the judgmental) food pics are from more than one visit (and we will back!)
WORTH THE WAIT.
We got the smoked salmon/lox toast and it had capers and purple onion (not too much) dill and wow. Just wow. We got it on sourdough but there are options even gluten free.
A smoothie (superfruit) that even the picky niece loved. Chicken empenada, and loved it.. again a picky eater and she loved it. I loved my lavender iced latte with oat milk. Lilikoi tea for my sister, and my other sister was throuroughly boring g with water. Yep boring. The coffee menu even had Affogato.. Had I noticed before I had ordered I’d have had to get 2 coffee drinks. Zoom a zoom zoom.
I loved the staff. And people were pleasant even with the wait. They give you pagers so relax while you wait. Love the coastal decor and there seemed to be plenty of seating.
The pastry options should be illegal. My keto diet is never shaken but at Momona bakery it died a rapid death. No worries tomorrow is a new day. Have the pastry, have the food, have the coffee. All of it is delicious and fresh and made right there. I am going again tomorrow. My momma didn’t raise no fool. I have reviewed so many coffee shops and been at even more than that and this spot holds the gold. I ABSOLUTELY will return every time I can.
Parking requires patience but is free. Beautiful location and tell them Meek sent you. You will thank me.
