Oh my gosh! If you’re hungry, stop here! The best, moist, tender brisket! Perfectly smoked and the sauce is so good. They make their own beans and give you a little cup for free, and they are really good. I’m sure the ribs are good too because they were sold out of them! Nice folks there, very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend!!

Plenty of choices on the menu from sandwiches to plates and combos. Select your meat and scoop sides that you want. Green beans are sweet, creamy coleslaw, soft Mac and cheese, and warm bbq sauce. Don’t forget your white bread slices. I always forget that I can’t eat all of it. Service is great and foods are terrific.

We arrived on the last day of their week, so my expectations were pretty low. I thought that we probably would only get leftover scraps since they were going to be closed for the following two days. BOY, WAS I WRONG! This was legit Texas barbecue. The sausage was very flavorful. The ribs were absolutely delightful. The brisket was some of the best I’ve had in Texas. I personally would actually put it above Franklin’s! You also get free beans if you dine in. Which is where I have my only slightly negative feedback. They lacked flavor to us. We did add some of the spicy barbecue sauce to them, and it totally transformed them. I would suggest that they just add some to them after they finish cooking and just see how the customers like them. If they don’t, then you should definitely try it if you find them bland also. I will definitely stop by the next time I’m in Longview.

Best turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. Impossibly juicy. I accidentally spilled all my sauce and went without it. Honestly was good as is. Just bread and meat. So good.

Another Texas Monthly joint down. I’m now at 20 places out of the 50. This one definitely lived up to the hype of the #4 ranked place in Texas. The brisket was so succulent. The sausage had a sweetness to it. Almost like a breakfast sausage. The Dr. Pepper Pork Belly Burnt ends we’re amazing and could have been a dessert on its on with how sweet it was. The turkey was moist. My only disappointment was finding out they no longer serve the Toffee Bacon Candy. It left when Scott left. Sad day. Bodacious (specifically this one) is worth going to.

Brisket, spicy sauce and potato salad are all winners. Give Stanley’s in Tyler some real competition.
Revisited seven years later and the qualities is still great if you’re looking for East Texas style barbecue this is your spot

Great bbq and excellent service, one of the few places I have found that knows how to cook Pittsburg hot links to perfection.

We got there about an hour before they were supposed to close. They were shutting down but allowed us to still order. Got a brisket sandwich and some hot links. Over all decent food for a good price.
