I’ve been buying a Venti Caramel Frappuccino with light ice from this Starbucks every Sunday for over a year. Until two weeks ago, it was always made perfectly. But the last two Sundays, my drink has been made completely wrong — to the point where it’s honestly undrinkable.

Last Sunday, I asked them to fix it. They remade it, but it was still bad. I ended up leaving because I was short on time and had to get to work. Even though the drink tasted terrible, I forced myself to drink it because I had no choice.

Today, I came back again, like I do every Sunday, and ordered the same drink: a Venti Caramel Frappuccino with light ice. Once again, it was made horribly. It tasted like plain water with a beige tint. It had no milk, no coffee flavor, no sweetness — absolutely nothing. I told the barista that I only asked for light ice, but the drink had no flavor at all. She tried remaking it, but the second one tasted just as bad, if not worse.

I went back inside and kindly asked the young man if someone else could prepare it — specifically the guy who has always made it correctly for the past year. I assumed Starbucks has standardized recipes, especially for something as basic as a Caramel Frappuccino. I get the same drink at other Starbucks, and they all taste great.

But once again, it was remade by someone else and still tasted awful.

I told them I didn’t understand what was happening, because after more than a year of coming here every Sunday, the last two weeks have been extremely disappointing. I’m not asking for extra milk, extra caramel, or anything special — just a regular Caramel Frappuccino with light ice, which should taste the same everywhere.

They refunded my money, but I left with a really bad feeling. This drink is what I have between leaving church and going to work — it’s basically my breakfast and lunch. Today, I’m going to work without it because they simply couldn’t prepare it correctly. It’s extremely frustrating that such a simple product is being made so inconsistently, and it makes me question whether anyone is actually checking the quality before handing it to a customer.

I wanted to leave this review last week, but I decided to give them another chance, thinking maybe the barista was new. But after three attempts today with the same terrible result, it’s clearly an issue with training or process consistency.

i go to this location A LOT and the baristas are always so nice. however, i usually get the exact same like four drinks and every time i get them it’s like i ordered a completely different drink. i understand every portions a little differently but there’s not great consistency.

this is what i received today. i ordered an iced matcha w strawberry cold foam but i may as well not payed the almost $2 for the foam bc where is it on this drink? not to mention that drinks are rarely shaken fully.

Personally, I despise Starbucks. But genuinely, this was the greatest starbucks i’ve been to, and it reminds me why tipping so high is important. It was on the quieter end, ALL the employees were patient and kind, Nathan was an amazing customer servicer (can’t think of the right wording lol), and they made some extra things and gave it to us. 10/10 would recommend lol

I go almost every weekday morning, so I like to be proactive and order on my app usually 5+ minutes prior. I order the infamous london fog tea latte, and yes, I understand it takes 5 minutes to steep so I give so much grace. Genuine question, does the app not send in the order until you arrive? That is the only way this could logically make sense. I would assume if you know how long the drink takes to make, start steeping it soon after you see it pop up on your screen. I join the line and in about 7 minutes, I make it to the window. I immediately get curbed as I have before with this drink, around 5:57. 6:05 hits and with maybe 2 cars in the drive through, I walk inside. I am just now informed that my drink was made with the incorrect milk. Instead of throwing it away, I would have just taken the original drink, as milk is a preference for me. Instead of communicating that to me, they throw together my drink very quickly and hand me a $4 gift card. I appreciate the gesture, but my drink is $5.95 before tax. I understand I cause trouble with this drink as baristas are known for hating to make this, yet I try and do everything ahead of time to avoid this, yet this is the second time this has happened to me. I understand I have to wait my time in line and that there are other things being made in front of me, but again, if you understand this drink takes time to steep, maybe be proactive and start it. I genuinely just want to know how I can better this process because it’s getting exhausting.

Unfortunately, this is THE worst kept up Starbucks I’ve been been to– around the world.

In the 90’s and early 2000’s, I was a barista back in NYC by Washington Sq Park (off of 8th Avenue), and I KNOW what the procedures for morning breakfast are, I know how the bar needs to be kept clean, I know how the counters, dining area and floors need to be kept clean. I’m sure that since the time I was a Starbucks barista, procedures have improved. This particular store has not followed protocol.

**It is apparent that there is no one over the manager of this store and that the manager of this store isn’t over anyone here.

I walked in to place my usual order at 8:15am. The breakfast pastries were still on the crate and still in the plastics. The fridge was completely empty. The napkins weren’t refilled. I had to go and ask a barista walking in from a break for napkins and to please wet a few for me to wipe down the table my husband and I were planning to sit down at.

The counters were awfully dirty. Water and milk spilled all over the bar counter. In the dining area, the dust was piled up thick on the ledges, on the floor. It is an awful hot mess in here.

I’m actually afraid of going into the bathroom because of the food area looks like this, the bathroom is sure to be worse.

Also, please explain to me why a barista is counting tip money out in the dining area and not in the back???

This is Starbucks store #10374 at 2700 Wilhite Dr in Lexington, KY. Someone please come and clean up shop.

I was super disappointed this morning. My caramel brûlée was missing the whipped cream and toffee bits! It’s my favorite part of the drink. I double checked my order and I never said to leave it off. 🙁 The app also said my order would be ready at 8:07 but when I walked in at 8:03 it was already there and my sandwich wasn’t fresh.
