First Watch in Germantown, Memphis is a solid breakfast and brunch spot. The wait time to get seated was pretty long, which wasn’t great, especially during busy hours.

That said, once we were seated, the food came out fairly quickly. I tried the eggs and their homemade juices, and both were really fresh and delicious. The juices especially stood out.

Overall, the food quality is good and worth it, but be prepared for a long wait before getting a table.

I first tried this place a month ago and I’ve been coming back twice a week ever since. The food is absolutely AMAZING! I’ve tried 4 items on the menu and each time it was so very scrumptious! I think my top favorite item on the menu is the market skillet hash. Yummy!

Not to mention the service is SUPERB!!!!!! The Manager, Lolita was so very courteous and friendly. My waitress, India was AWESOME!!!!

This is now my new favorite brunch/lunch spot.

This is similar to Big Bad Breakfast. It’s very popular with the older people, but it’s not cheap. This is a high rent area. The dining area is very big and noisy. You don’t go here for a quiet meal. We went online and put ourselves in line electronically. We were seated when we walked in, but we didn’t see a server for 10 minutes. Don’t be in a hurry, the food took a while, and we only ordered a pancake and French toast. The chocolate chip pancake was huge, big enough to share. The French toast was ok. It didn’t have too much taste. The Pancake Shop is better. First watch is the place for healthy food. They do give a Veterans discount which was nice. The parking lot is nuts. Be careful.

First Watch Germantown is a great spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch; I’m glad they’re finally here in the Memphis area. Breakfast for me and my friends included the Salmon Frittata, Sausage and Gravy biscuits and the Cheesecake Nutella Holey Donuts. The cheesy grits were a little too salty for me. Service was top-notch and the wait was only 15 minutes. Check them out!

I was pretty disappointed after how much I’ve seen it hyped up. Memphis has so many gems and while this wasn’t a total bust, it was simply lacking. First, we waited over an hour before finding out that “we were temporarily taken off the list and they didn’t know why”, which they ended up admitting that they put the phone number down incorrectly (no big deal, mistakes happen). The service wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t exceptional. I asked for no arugula on my order, it came with arugula (also NBD). The grits needed a lot of seasoning, the potatoes had potential but they weren’t cooked enough, and the cheesecake bites were so dry, I couldn’t do more than a bite. I won’t be returning, but do hope that they improve with time. The pancake was for a child and she liked how massive it was!

Thanks for the recommendation Taylan!!! You were right, the food was absolutely delicious!!! It had a warm and inviting atmosphere, the restroom was clean, and the people were friendly.

A recommendation I have is to work with the wait staff on engaging with the guests more, product knowledge, and being a good listener. I asked for plasticware and napkins, but never received them. I wanted to make sure I had everything I needed before my food came out. So, I ended up asking someone else for those things. Then once I received them, I was given only two napkins. Both of them were crumbled looking and as if once wet and dried……..basically napkins that looked like they had been left on the table and reissued. The young lady was new, so I overlooked a lot of things. However, I still wanted to make sure management was aware of the areas needing improvement.

I will definitely still visit again. Thanks.

First time eating at this location. We have eaten at other First Watch restaurants in other states and in Nashville/Murfreesboro area. My husband had the Chimi steak and egg hash. He loved it. I had the market omelet with greens. Greens were very fresh and perfect amount of dressing. My complaint was with the ingredients inside the omelet. They were barely warm. The bacon could have used a few more seconds on the grill to crisp it. Both the bacon and sausage links could have been chopped a little finer. Flavor was very good. Concerns were shared with Loletta and she offered to have them remake it. I declined because it was edible. I just preferred warmer. Highly recommend.

Everything was nice. Big place, currently very popular, but we were seated fairly quickly. Waitress Britany was kind and attentive. My food arrived as I ordered, no outrageous delay in receiving it. It was good. Nothing about what I selected really stood out but it was nice. If you’re a breakfast lover in the area, it’s a sweet spot to check out
