Stopped at this quant little hometown restaurant for breakfast. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. Pancakes, eggs, and bacon – all good. I will definitely come back to try a lunch/dinner sometime.
Definitely worth the stop.

We live just outside of Norwood but had never eaten at the Railway Cafe. Three of us walked in the door yesterday at 5pm, not noticing the sign on the door saying they close at 5:00 on Saturday. They brought us menus and took our orders without even mentioning that they were closed. When the owner brought us our meal, we apologized and he told us they never turn down a customer and told us to take our time. His wife made three different meals without a word of complaint and all of our food was excellent. We’ll be back.

Another hidden delight. We were just driving back to Mountain Grove from Ava and needed some breakfast. This place was a little restaurant next to the railroad. We ordered and wasn’t sure what to expect. What we got was a delicious meal and great service. If you just want drive thru then do that, if you want great food with fast service, try the Railway cafe. It was delicious and the staff was very friendly… We will be back .. hope to see you there too…

A fun stop in Norwood, MO—my favorite thing about it is the name, as we saw 3-4 trains pass while eating and even got stopped by one on the way home! The people are great and food was delicious. We tried the Rail Pass Special (Roast Beef) and the Tanker (Breakfast Burrito). They were both delicious and we will be back for more! We got the homemade chocolate pie to go and it was amazing! Stop by and give them a try.

This place is worth the few minute drive off the highway if you are looking for some great food. The cheeseburger was a damn fine cheeseburger. Super juicy and nice toasty bun. The seasoned fries were just as tasty. My husband had the opened faced roast beef with gravy and smashed potatoes with coleslaw. The roast beef was made with love and the coleslaw is top notch. If you are looking for some homemade desserts, they have that too, although we were too full to try…unfortunately. Stop in and take a break from your long drive. You will not be disappointed.

Found this gem driving thru town after waiting on a train to cross. Lovely folks, great atmosphere, theme is railroad thru out. From the menu, to the decor. I was surprised to get real potatoes, with the skins. Stop in and enjoy! Oh yea, don’t forget dessert, peach cobbler and cherry crisp with ice cream. Now I need a nap!

I had a double cheese burger and onion rings. It was ready quick, the burger patties were hand pressed, the veggies on the burger were fresh. It was a mighty fine lunch. I will return.

Just passing through and needed to eat somewhere, so my husband and I stopped here. Food is delicious, the cafe is clean, and the service is great! Sean and his wife are very kind and do a great job of running the cafe. Stop by and try their food!
