Dropped in randomly after a grocery run. I was gifted a gift card here over a year ago and finally saw it passing by in Freeport. Very welcoming and friendly staff, very clean restaurant as well. It was lunch when we dropped in so me and my son ended up ordering the lunch bento boxes.
I ordered chicken teriyaki and salmon shioyaki Bento. It came with California roll salad, rice, an orange, daikon and miso soup. My kiddo ordered the same in the kids version. SO MUCH YUMMY FOOD! I was pleasantly surprised at how much food we received in the lunch portion and the food was delicious. Fantastic prices as well.
They were also very kind to gift us with a holiday blanket. So glad I received a gift card here and I’m looking forward to returning to try all the other things on their menu.

Wow what a great restaurant!! Many great things to choose from. So fresh! The ramen is absolutely amazing! Their miso soup is the best I’ve ever had. Everyone in my party was very happy with the quality of the food and service. The service is spot on, so attentive!

I recently discovered this place and I love it. Something about the vibe is perfect, feels authentic, and the food and service are both excellent. If you are coming with a group probably expect a wait (on weekends). But I recommend sitting at the sushi bar! A lot of the sushi places I’ve tried in the area are kinda meh, but this one gets it just right. Non sushi plates are wonderful as well. I ordered so much salmon nigiri last time that the sushi chef made me this plate of miniature salmon nigiri when I told him I was full . So sweet and personable. Definitely recommend.

Melt in your mouth hamachi and toro items and “hands down” the best uni/oyster combo I’ve ever had. Meal presentation is like artwork. Service is friendly and efficient. Located in a tiny strip mall with challenging parking, but it’s worth the hassle.

The food is really and fresh and I’ve not had any problems the times I have went and my partner loves this place and always likes to come and won’t get sushi anywhere else and I would recommend it and it looks like they have added new stuff like chairs

What a hole in the wall! Parking is very tight and limited though.
Waiters routinely check in to refill water. The atmosphere was really relaxing here. There are beautiful images of Japan on the walls. Our party stayed here longer than usual and they were very kind to allow our conversation to continue. We don’t feel rushed to leave, even after we paid.

The best sushi I have ever had. It was so amazing that I forgot to take pictures of my first two dishes (because I was too busy eating them). Xa, the chef, is amazing and is willing to craft new rolls and dishes just for you. I’m so glad I was able to come in for lunch.

Excellent lunch spot for anyone who enjoys quality sushi and other Japanese food.
I had a nabeyaki udon plus uni sushi and hamachi sushi (sea urchin and yellowtail).
Both nigiri were fresh and tasty and presented beautifully. I was too hungry to take any photos.
I couldn’t finish my udon so I brought it home. Our waitress packed in a sturdy reusable plastic container which made transporting it home very secure and convenient. Definitely reusing the container for leftover Thanksgiving food this week.
