River City Brewing Company opened in 1993 in the heart of downtown Sacramento. We are the oldest brew pub in Sacramento still operating. In 2015 River City moved to Carmichael CA to begin a new and exciting chapter. River City prides itself on only using the finest ingredients when brewing and always source local ingredients when possible. Our brewer Ben Barker started with River City in 1995 to 1999 and returned in 2013. His commitment to this craft, shows in his beers. River City always sources from local farms when possible. We receive produce orders every day to ensure the freshest product always goes out on our plates. We change our menu two to three times a year to make sure we are always serving what is in season.
Seasonal beers brewed in-house pair off with an American menu in a bi-level space with TVs & patio.

Stopped in for lunch. The place was nice. The burger I ordered was one of the best I’ve ever had, not too big for 1/2 lb of burger. Very tasty. My wife ordered the Cali Chicken sandwich which she said was very good. The service was friendly and prompt. Would definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous dinner here. We spent almost 3 hours since we were with family we hadn’t seen in a while. We shared an appetizer and then my husband and I shared the garlic asiago crusted chicken. It was one of the best restaurant entrees I’ve had in a LONG time and we had leftovers to boot. Our server Cat was very attentive and friendly. We’re only in town 2 days and we’re considering going back tomorrow. Highly recommend. Oh, and the blood orange IPA was excellent. Prices were reasonable for both food and beer.

1/14/26 we had a reservation at 6:30. The food is absolutely not good. Waitress forgot about us multiple times. Water and paid for beverages weren’t refilled. If you had a problem with the food. Greasy onion rings. Over cooked chicken breast. Bland Mac and cheese, tasteless fish and chips. Only a discount was offered. The offer to remake the food wasn’t offered. We had a party of 9. The place wasn’t busy. 3 tables of people and 2 of the waitstaff sitting at the bar eating. Our Waitress made an automatic $60 dollar tip because we had a party of 9. The bill was split into two. Both checks had a 30 auto tip charged. I’ve had better food and service at Little Caesar’s. We were there at 6:30. Place closes at 8pm. They started putting chairs up on the tables at 6:45pm. It was so uncomfortable. When asked to speak to a manager. I was told the Manager was gone for the night just before 7:30pm. The place was leaderless. The pics on yelp over sell the place.

My mom and I tried here for the first time and we weren’t disappointed. First off, the staff were extremely friendly and polite. A special thank you for Noah for checking up on us and making sure everything was satisfactory! The atmosphere was bustling with friends and family so it’s a great place for all-ages. I had the steak salad and fish & chips (forgot to take a picture) and it was DELICIOUS! Will definitely be back here again for sure!

This restaurant is hidden from the road behind Walgreens and can easily be missed. I ordered the French dip and the meat was so tender! The fries were hot and crispy and everything was made fresh to order. Their ranch dip is absolutely tasty along with their food. The service is pretty spot on especially for how busy they are. I felt they were pretty attentive and refilled my drink as necessary. I definitely would recommend this place. The food is definitely worth the price paid. They also offer indoor/outdoor seating with a quiet atmosphere indoor.

Had lunch with a group from the Carmichael Senior Club. Our President treated us to an appetizer of Ruben rolls. Corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut wrapped up in wonton wrappers and deep fried. They were excellent.

There is lots of parking and sitting inside/out.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
Ordered all the veggie items that sounded tasty.
The eggplants tower did not disappoint.
My friend send his fish n chips were delicious.
Don’t forget they have fried pickles.

We should have said something – our burger was flavorful but the brussel sprouts looked like leftovers and the onion rings that came with the burger were definitely nuked before being served to us. We eat here every so often including before covid as well as bringing friends here and never had a meal appear not fresh. This includes food to go during covid. Like I said we should have said something yesterday Nov 5 when we stopped in for a meal. Even at around 2:30 in the afternoon … we didn’t expect our food to be served in leftover condition. Next time we will speak up.
