Typical Mexican food, nothing out of this world. Fajita meat was not seasoned very well and meat was chewy. Service was great, waitress was nice and was trying hard eventhough they were busy. We had to ask for stuff like silverware, water, napkins etc. Overall a good experience.

First, I really hate complaining, I really do. Read my other reviews, they’re mostly glowing. I do not waste my time writing reviews about bad experiences. Usually.
I would not recommend anyone ever go here.
The house margarita is terrible. It tasted like strait triple sec. No lime, no tequila. And I wouldn’t have drank it at all except I didn’t have any water.
The “Special” Margarita had tequila and was okay. Buy not stellar. Still too sweet. Not enough lime.
The food was good for tex mex. It was not especially flavorful or complex. There was the traduonal way too much. I put it at 2 stars overall because of the margaritas. The food by itself would have been a 3.5
And they didn’t have enough servers in the building to handle the people in the building. Everyone was waiting. We got better service from the server who stepped in than our original server.
It’s just really disappointing because the previous night at Salsa Oaxaqueña I had the best food of my life. They don’t have an alcohol license though.

Ordered asada fries, regular fries came in, called uber, uber customer service doesnt work. Called the store, they said call uber, i call uber again, uber doesnt really work, called them again, they said they can give me gift card and I can pick it up. The point of me ordering online for delivery is because i dont wanma go out and i already spent the money to do so…….. what the hell is the sense…….

Nice place if you enjoy mexican food. We were seated quickly upon arrival. Their drink menu was slightly pricy but ny husband still enjoyed a margarita. I got the alaska fish tacos without avocado (i am allergic). Order came out correctly was hot and delicious! I also have been here previous occassions and can vouche for the desserts are delicious so save room for that! They have an excellent lunch menu and the dinner menu is okay but slightly pricy for what you get. So overall, 4 outta 5 for mexican food places.

We had an incredible dinner at Jalapeños in Anchorage. The food was delicious and full of flavor across the board. The Alaskan tacos were a standout—packed with flavor and big enough to share. The birria tacos were tender and juicy, and the dipping sauce was amazing. We also had the queso, which was rich and flavorful, and churros that were perfectly crispy and sweet.
But what truly made the experience memorable was the exceptional service. Our waitress, Zenobia, went above and beyond. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel like we were having dinner at a friend’s home rather than a restaurant.
If you’re in Anchorage and craving Mexican food, Jalapeños is a must-visit. Come hungry, and ask for Zenobia!

I order their LARGE CHIPS AND LARGE SALSA so many times. I let the person taking the order about 3 times what my specific order is. Each time it is wrong. Or I catch it and go back into the restaurant to let them know again.
Tonight was no different. I ordered 3 orders of large chips and salsa to give to some people. What I got was half filled salsa for all three containers. This is not a one time issue. It keeps happening.
I love jalapenos and will continue going but it’s frustrating.

Great restaurant, it was busy but we were seated right away. Had the My Favorite, taco salad, steak fajitas, and El Grande. All the food came out quick and tasted good. The dessert was amazing, loved the sopapillas! Atmosphere is cute, but our table had lots of cracks/chips.

We ate in n the restaurant, a rat trap stuck to my wife’s leg. It’s been a couple days f months and decided to try them again through Uber Eats. They didn’t send our order. I called and the person answering the phone was very rude. Said the only way to correct was for me to drive to restaurant and get remaining order. Of course that doesn’t help when part of family can eat now and I have to go and pick up the art of the order they didn’t give us

Not a bad place to stop and have lunch or dinner. I think it’s a bit overrated. You get one bowl of chips, mild and hot salsa, after that you pay for another bowl. Not ideal for more than 2 people. My fiance got their ‘Muy Macho’ Platter. It was alright, his taquito was hollowed, and not a fan of the enchilada, but the tamale was good. Beans and rice were fantastic, in my opinion. I got their Carne asada mini tacos. They were pretty good, served with onion and cilantro. I ordered salsa verde on the side.
They serve their Margarita on ice, didn’t see any options for blended but it was still really well made. Not rimmed.
Worth going back if you’re in the mood and in the area.

Spontaneous party of 8 was accommodated. This was my first time. Everyone enjoyed their special beverage and yummy food. We all had 2 go boxes.
I look forward to trying their Eagle River location too.
