10/10 honestly it brought back memories from when I use to live in Davis back in 2020-2021 I will always come back here
The sesame shrimp were delicious wee also tried some lemon pepper lunch especial
Also use their bathroom it was clean sink was in there so you could wash up right afterwards had toilet paper. Paper towel towels. It was beautiful good smell.
I’m 63 and raised next to SF. I know American Chinese food… This was next level
As for the food, the wonton soup and hot and sour soups were very good, I would definitely go back for those. The orange chicken was also very good, all white meat chicken. However, the Szechuan chicken was not good had a strange flavor.
Overall, I probably will not be going back, except maybe to get some soup to go.
We shared a plate of potsickers which were a nice size with crispy edges and the dipping sauce was divine. He had a bowl of Hot and Sour soup and I had a bowl of Egg Drop soup. They were both nice and hot and delicious. The only thing that was missing was white pepper, they don’t offer it, and I believe that’s the first Chinese restaurant I’ve been to that doesn’t offer white pepper which is a staple for adding to soup.
The Dynamite Beef was nice and crispy in a great sauce with crunchy veggies…a real delight. The vegetable chow mein was great as well. We both had iced teas (Oolong perhaps) and it was very refreshing.
We will definitely be back, since Wok of Flame has now moved into #1 position of Chinese restaurants here in Davis… we’ll bring our own white pepper…lol.
1. The wraps are square. Yes. We unwrapped them to discover this.
2. Sauce is already in there. I had one that had so much sauce I almost gagged.
3. Pre wrapped means I can’t get my Chipotle style bursting at the seams sized wrap.
4. Four. Four wraps. What a weird and superstitious number.
5. The wraps are the super thin good ones.
6. It came with an additional carafe of sauce.
I think we got other food. I just can’t remember because the wraps messed with my mind.
