I finally made my way to the Barnsboro Inn for brunch today and I cannot recommend it enough! I got the Blair Mountain’s Famous Early Bird and it was unbelievable and featured, you guessed it, Blair Mountain biscuits The brunch also came with fruit and yogurt, tater tots, and biscuits on the side (wish I thought to grab a picture). It’s well worth the value to get the brunch as there are some other entree options you can pick as well. The service and atmosphere were also immaculate – thanks, Georgie! I felt so welcomed and already look forward to going back! They have a few other special nights (like all you can eat wings on Mondays!!) so if you’re looking for a weekend brunch or just a great meal, check out Barnsboro Inn!

My son and I randomly found this gem. We were looking for a place to eat after his hockey game and this was perfect! The crab cakes were one of the best I’ve had. Wings were incredible.

The family ownership was so friendly and fun to talk with. Our server Sarah was great.

If we are back in town we will definitely stop by again.

I had the best brunch at Barnsboro Inn! Came for the biscuits and to catch up with a friend, stayed for the delicious menu, lovely staff & atmosphere.

The staff were so welcoming & gave me a whole tour of the place to choose the best seat in the house, which (in my opinion at the time given the weather conditions) was the outdoor patio for a nice sunny day. The staff was attentive, welcoming and gracious. 5 star reviews all around from the waitress, the table buster, the bartender, to the owner.

The food was phenomenal! The biscuits are some amazing secret recipe, paired with amazing brown sugar butter or dill ranch sauce.

That French toast- had me doing the happy dance in my chair!

Please check out this hidden gem!

If a restaurant can hang on for more than a quarter century, that’s usually your first clue you’re in the right place. The Barnsboro Inn has been doing just that—more like a quarter of a millennium in restaurant years—and it wears that history well.

Most of the place feels original, and that’s a compliment. There’s real charm here, the kind you can’t fake or renovate into existence. I actually planned my visit around seeing that charm before the crowd took over, which tells you how popular this spot is. I got there at 3:50 on a Monday. Doors opened at 4. I was the first customer through the door. By 4:38, the place was packed—shoulder to shoulder, people standing, the room buzzing. That kind of turnout doesn’t happen by accident.

Food-wise, I went with the roadhouse wings. They’re half wings, which I don’t usually love, but these were solid—meaty, well-cooked, and full of flavor. No gimmicks, just done right. That theme seems to run through the whole place.

The Barnsboro Inn feels lived-in, loved, and very much alive. It knows what it is and doesn’t try to be anything else. I’ll definitely be back.

First time here today. This is an awesome historic building with historic roots. Customer service was excellent, friendly, and helpful. I got the berry salad which was refreshing, and the meatball sandwich which was excellent. Added the garlic parm to the fries which was great. Also got a cold brew which hit the spot. I would definitely recommend coming here, and if I lived in Jersey I’d come more often.

After 10 people telling me about Barnesboro Inn I had to go. We entered in through the bar not around the front to the restaurant, there’s no door handle on the bar entrance… Huh? The bar area is very dark but it looks like a good place to have a drink. We walked around to the entrance of the restaurant and we’re seated quickly and I noticed how dilapidated the building was. They boast about being 250 years old, but why let your building be run down. Pretty sad. They were serving a Valentine’s Day menu that Sunday which in my opinion was not put together very well, things did not pair well with each other. The meal started off with biscuits and a flavored butter, outstanding biscuits!
The majority of the apps and the dinner came out room temperature warm. The cod was cooked tender, Perfect but the beets and the grapefruit slices didn’t go, I don’t understand the pairing. The filet was Not tender at all and for the price it totally was not worth it. We ordered the creme brulee after the meal which was totally under baked. We sent it back. Later that night we heard that there is a new Chef in the kitchen and it shows. We will try the Barnesboro inn again but I’m not in a rush to get out there to try dining there soon. For being an iconic 250-year-old restaurant, I don’t see it holding it’s prestige.

My brother Joe wanted to meet for lunch for my 62nd birthday, he found this amazing place and we each drove about an hour and a half to get here. He’s from Dover DE, We’re from Branchburg NJ. What a great time we had. I’m a French Onion Soup fanatic, and this did not disappoint one bit. The Fish n Chips were great, as was the cheesesteak egg rolls. We always choose to sit at the bar, and our bartender Beverly was just outstanding!! Big shout out to her and hope to get back there again. Murph, Joe, Joan & Tim.
