This might be the worst barbecue I’ve ever tried in the United States food was called atmosphere was dead customer service couldn’t hear you It was like everything we tried was left over from the night before food was terrible actually we ended up asking them to reheat the food and it’s still ended up being cold before the end of the meal should have asked for a refund but I figured I’d give a donation to the city of Wichita.

Fast food bbq… it’s a thing now. I wanted to love this place just because all of the reviews but I’d give it a solid 3/5.
Ordered a chicken bbq sandwich and hot link sandwich. There was more bread than meat but honestly, I wasn’t really bothered by that much. The chicken was moist and the bbq sauce was okay. The sausage was fine but it lacked depth of flavor. I did order a side of their spicy bbq sauce to try and it did help flavor up the hot link sandwich quite a bit.
The real winner here for me was the fries. They taste just like McDonalds and I’ve NEVER had anyone’s fries taste like McD’s!!! I devoured every last one of them! lol
I’m going to give them another whirl before I head out because I feel like you can’t really judge a good bbq place until you’ve had their brisket. This TX gal knows her brisket! I’ll be back to update my review at that time. I’m thinking I’ll try the brisket baked potato – doesn’t that sound yum!!?

This place is fast food BBQ. I rarely give below a 5 on any review, but I honestly feel like I wasted a good meal here. It’s sort of lower priced for BBQ, and that should have been my first clue. Staff was nice, place was clean, but food was super boring. The beans were runny and too sweet. Pretty sure they open a can of low budget premade beans and put it in the warmer. The slaw was not good. It felt the same as beans, premade bag dumped in a tray. It kind of tasted old too. It was watery and the cabbage was kind of soggy. The bread was baby sized and barely toasted. The meat was OK, but reminded me of oven baked. Pork was fine but the brisket was like a roast beef. NOTE – they serve the meat with sauce on it. I didn’t realize that. Maybe they have better sides other than what I got, but I doubt it’s anything better. One and done for me.

Been going to this hog wild for 5 years now and the last three times just been horrible. Ribs aren’t sauced like they used to be. Everything was cold last time and ribs wasn’t good at all. Then this time sides was good but ribs not sauced odd flavor then the side of sauce looks old as heck. Guess it’s time to not support it anymore

The cashier that was there around 2:00pm today shouldn’t be the cashier. He opens the window with his hands out (doesn’t even say how much the food is, doesn’t say anything at all actually, he just put his hands out the window so I can give him my card), then he gives me my food without barbecue sauce. I asked if he can give me some barbecue sauce, and he gives me 1 very small cup for my 2 meat dinner, when he should have given me at least 2 sauces since I order the “2 meat” dinner. I told him thank you, and he doesn’t say anything at all. His vibe was just extremely weird. It makes me not even want to come back. He definitely shouldn’t be a cashier. A job that requires a straight face, no talking, no interactions, and no manners would suit him a lot better.

What this location lacks in customer service it makes up for in flavor. I ordered carry-out. Apparently me stopping by to pick up my order took away from the counter staffs conversation time. Two of them couldn’t even be bothered to acknowledge my presence much less give me my order. It felt like I was invisible. Eventually someone else came up to assist me. Luckily, when I got my order home it was accurate and delicious. I’ll continue to support Hog Wild, though it probably won’t be this location. I’d hate to interrupt the employees as they visit with each other.

This is good chain style Bar-B-Q, nothing out of the ordinary. Reasonably good with good service and prices.

I’ve always known Hog Wild for its consistency—good food, clean facilities, and dependable service. Unfortunately, my recent visit to the Woodlawn location was a major disappointment.
After getting my food, I went to take a drink of my Sprite and immediately noticed large chunks of mold from the ice machine floating in my cup. Curious (and concerned), I checked the soda dispenser and found that the nozzles on both the Sprite and Dr. Pepper had visible mold inside them as well. Looking at the machine, it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned in quite some time.
I tried to move past that and enjoy my sandwich, but it was bland and lacked the usual quality I’ve come to expect from Hog Wild. Even before receiving my food, the customer service was lackluster—the employees seemed disengaged and unwelcoming.
Overall, this experience was far below the standards I associate with Hog Wild. I truly hope management at this location takes action to address these serious cleanliness and service issues, because the brand’s reputation deserves better.

I wasn’t very impressed with the food, the staff was very friendly and helpful however. The brisket was dry, the fries were just okay in my opinion, and the coleslaw was just average. I’d go back to try some other items but I wouldn’t order these three again. Update: 5-6-23: tried this place again and had a much better experience, still friendly service, the fries were hot and crispy, the brisket was moist, and the hot link was excellent!

The vibes in this place are IMMACULATE. 1000% reccomend. My man Kevin Johnson is probably one of the nicest people and servers I’ve ever met and he genuinely brightened my day with his spirit. I’ll never forget this place and their awesome food and awesome people, keep it up!!!
