The best high quality Indian food in Indy and at a reasonable price. Food comes out fast, is fresh and steaming hot. The restaurant is very clean on the inside and excellent customer service.

The food is good. The paneer and thali are my go to’s here. This place is also very cheap. Two beers, an app, and two entrées are less than $60 after tip.
Imported beers are the same price as domestic beers, so the choice is easy.
Service is awful. You have to ask for silverware, ask multiple times for drinks, etc. If you can’t stand bad service I’d just get your food to-go.

Shalimar is truly one of the best Indian restaurants around! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. Every dish tastes authentic, and the portions are generous. The service is warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is inviting whether you’re dining in or taking out. Highly recommend their curries and tandoori items—you won’t be disappointed.
