We’re an independent pizza stand located in the beer garden at Free Roam Brewing in downtown Boerne, TX. We’re proud to be the favorite for locals to meet friends for a pie or call for a fresh pizza, ready when you arrive. We serve handmade, hand-stretched pizzas year-round. The pizza oven turns out Neopolitan – esqe pies every Thursday – Sunday. Come out and give us a try!

Took my son here while on a weekend trip to Boerne and we were not disappointed! Met Travis the owner, operator, and chef and he was incredibly kind, personable, and grateful for our support. The pizzas didn’t disappoint! They’re a classic thinner style pie with a great crust. Sauce was great, the cook on the crust was fantastic, and the toppings didn’t disappoint. I love that he grates legit Parmesan over the pies by request. Really good food, and the sizes were perfect for sharing.
The truck is behind Free Roam Brewery, which was also great. I’d highly recommend heading out there on an afternoon or evening with family and friends, grabbing some drinks, and enjoying some quality pizza. All in all I had a great evening with my son, enjoyed a delicious beer and some excellent pizza. Thanks for a wonderful night!

10 outta 10! Easy to order, great location, and the pizza is FANTASTIC; probably the best pizza in Boerne! I’m a pizza snob that grew up in NY and worked at a pizzaria for 3 years – what I like the most about this pie is the crust is hand made and how they take their time to evenly spread the sauce (which is awesome) across the entire crust, not just a blob that’s left in little piles across the crust. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. This Father – Son Team has hit a home run (pun intended) as their co-located with Free Roam Brewery.

A pizza is only as good as it’s crust, and despite the name, the crust at Imperfect Pies is PERFECT. The crust is packed with flavor and perfectly cooked; a thin skin of crispy surrounding a warm, rich chew with just the right amount of char here and there. This is exactly how crust should be done.
Upon this perfect base of goodness, the owner (an experienced fine-dining chef) lays a well-balanced and flavorful sauce, quality cheeses and exceptional toppings. We tried two pies on our first time: the sausage and red onion pie and the garlic herb mushroom, and both were out of this world. The house-made sausage is meaty without being greasy, and has that classic old-world Italian taste that is fennel-forward and simply delicious. The richness of the sauce and sausage is balanced perfectly with thinly sliced red onion that just about melts in your mouth. Simplicity at its finest.
The owner shared how he prepares his mushrooms for the garlic herb mushroom pie, and I won’t share his secrets here. I will say they are magnificent little flavor bombs and are a must-try for sure. These are top notch ingredients all the way around, and prepared with skill and attention to detail.
Anyone can slop a bunch of stuff on top of a pie and call it gourmet or cutting edge. That’s not skill. What Imperfect Pies does is master the art of balance, ingredients, technique, and execution. Perfection in simplicity. That is skill.
