At our Decatur, GA location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Every time I go here it’s young kids playing at the window. One time an employee was visible by window wiping his nose with his hands. I drove off! Yesterday took the cake. I ordered the big fish sandwich. I cut it in half and went to eat the other half today and the fish or whatever the “meat” was raw and pink. Im hoping the other half I ate was fine! Probably not even worth calling corporate bc this may be the standard!! I’ll never go back

Efficient young people, tasty fish with crispy (delicious) breading..ample parking, most folks seemed to use the drive through. I dined inside so, it was wonderful around 1 p.m. Later folks dressed up as if coming from their place of worship showed up, so,( I enjoy quiet dining). It was still good. The music was good inside. It was a wonderful meal at Captain D’s.

Do Not go there last hour before closing. Because of the area, they close the door and drive through gets backed up. And if you have big order at that time, expect missing meal. So make sure to check your order before leaving, otherwise they are good!

I paid for a combo and never gave me my fries. I called them and they put me on hold and hung up the phone. I called back and the phone was off the hook. Terrible customer service, I will never eat there again.

Food was heavily salted. I am at a lost on why the rice and fish tasted as if salt was added. Waited in drive thru almost 20 minutes. No greeting, no thank you provided.

I was Very pleased with not only the speed and the freshness of the food, but the customer service that was provided by the cashier was amazing. Just to think, if she had some help, (which she needs) things would really move. To cover the window and the dinning area is asking too much for one person. The cooks were really getting the orders out in a timely manner. I hope they don’t burn the young lady out.

I hadn’t eaten at Captain D’s for maybe over a decade. Decided to give this one a try since I was in the area. The service was excellent, food was fresh and the dine in area extremely clean. I was also surprised by their menu, got the spicy option for the fish which was amazing with light batter. They also carry original Cheesecake Factory desert. Definitely recommend this location!
