Just came for the third time on March 16. We tried the sliders again, like on our second visit last weekend, but strangely, they were served on hot dog buns instead of the regular buns we had last time. Hmm.
The club sandwich was good, with the classic fried egg, but I was a bit disappointed by the inconsistency with the sliders.
I’m adding a photo from today, showing the sliders with hot dog buns compared to last time.
The vibe was great, but it did feel like they might’ve been a bit short-staffed, so service was a little slower than expected. Still, everyone was friendly and doing their best.
Definitely a place I’d return to, especially for happy hour and those fries.
Update
Burgers are still awesome. We tried the Nashville chicken and wow, might be the best thing they make. It was so tasty.
Update 2
Quality if the food has gone down. Not sure if the chef has changed or what happened but the wings tasted totally different. Less sauce, less flavorful. The burgers were just not made as well either. The service also is not as good as before. Bummer as I had to drop the rating.
I meant to write this sooner but the holidays got busy.
In December I reached out to Stack 571 Totem Lake hoping to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with our family. Our group was initially around 18 and then reduced to 16. I understood from the start that reservations are not typically accepted, so I asked if there was a time that would make seating easier or if arriving early might help.
In the email exchange, I was told the only time they could assure seating was between 11:30am and noon. When I asked about coming earlier in the evening instead, I was advised multiple times that our group size and requested timeframe were “overwhelmingly prohibitive” and that it would be best to seek accommodations at a larger restaurant.
I appreciated the responses, but the overall message was clear that our group should plan to celebrate elsewhere rather than attempt to dine there.
We did make other arrangements and had a wonderful experience elsewhere. However, before heading to dinner, my daughter stopped into Stack 571 just to grab fries to go since that was what she had really wanted for her birthday. At the time, the restaurant appeared to have plenty of open seating, which made the earlier guidance feel confusing and disappointing.
This was especially frustrating because we had been willing to be flexible with timing and seating arrangements.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time I’ve experienced service here that felt unwelcoming. In past visits I assumed it was an off day, but this interaction felt consistent with those earlier experiences.
It’s disappointing, particularly because we had always enjoyed the now closed Bothell location.
