I was disappointed with the food. It wasn’t what i was expecting. My burger had absolutely no seasoning. I had to add salt and pepper. My onion rings were so hard and over fried. It just didnt taste like the Michigan city location im used to. Staff was nice and attentive. My only complaint is the food. There is a very obvious difference between locations in my opinion. Also the cook doesn’t use gloves or sanitation measures. I sat in the booth directly in front of the kitchen window and observed the cook grabbing beef patties,bread,other food items bare handed and then whiping his hands on his pants. Huge contamination risk. But staff is all young. ♂️

I recently moved into the area and had a gift card for schoops so i decided to stop in for lunch on a weekday afternoon. I had the schoops mickey which I’m not sure what the difference is between that and just a normal cheeseburger. Service was nice from the ladies. Atmosphere is like a retro diner. The place was well kept which makes me think they intend to keep that vibe going. At the time of this review, I paid about $18 for the burger, small fries, and a coke. That’s not including tip. It’s certainly not a place for the budget minded.

I took my sister out to lunch today and she decided she wanted to try schoops, we came in and sat down at the counter to order our meal, the staff was very friendly and attentive but unfortunately we got a call from my sister’s doctor that her schedule had been changed so we had to leave very quickly. The staff was very accommodating and made our order to go so we didn’t get a chance to experience the restaurant but the food was excellent. my sister ordered a burger and some onion rings with a vanilla shake. I ordered a bowl of creamy chicken soup and a Green River with a bunless Junior Burger. The burgers as always were phenomenal and the soup was actually really really good! couldn’t have asked for a better lunch! thank you guys.

My order went straight into the trash can where it belonged! The cheeseburger patties were old and dry, like they were cooked yesterday. Cold and stale. Even the milkshakes suck. Never ordering from this sad excuse of a place.

Probably one of the last truly great hamburger places left. Fresh, prepared to order burgers that have not changed in 30 years. Fries, shakes, onion rings to round it out. All served in the same location I remember from childhood.

Possibly the worst burger I’ve ever had. Dry, bland, flavorless. We both ordered a cheese burger. Paid for a cheese burgers. Didn’t get cheese burgers. Server was surly with an “I don’t want to be here attitude”, so we didn’t want to risk pissing her off anymore than she already was. Needless to say, we will not be going back.
