Nestled in Townlake shopping center in the Barker Cypress area, this charming little spot offers a delightful dining experience. As a first-time visitor, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service. Shane, my server, was incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that my dining experience was nothing short of perfect.
I ordered their El Diablo burger and Green Chili Con Queso fries, both of which were simply delicious. The menu boasts a wide variety of options, catering to diverse tastes and preferences. Hopdoddy Burger Bar is usually on point, and this visit was mostly solid. The sweet potato fries were perfect—crispy, well seasoned, and honestly a highlight of the meal.
That said, there was a mix-up with how the burger patties were cooked. We ordered a medium, medium-well, and medium-rare, but ended up receiving two medium-rare burgers and one medium. One of the burgers was also a bit on the salty side.
Because Hopdoddy is typically so consistent, this felt more like an off day than the norm. We’ll definitely be back, but hopefully with the usual execution we’ve come to expect.

I had a great experience at Hopdoddy in Cypress, TX! The burgers were solid—juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked to order—but the real standout for me was the French fries. Hands down, some of the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfectly crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. We couldn’t stop eating them! They offer an assortment of sauces to compliment your fries and burger. They also serve chicken and salads.
The atmosphere was laid-back and clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I’ll definitely be back—mainly for those fries!

First time trying this burger bar. Had Cadillac Wagyu burger and hot honey sage sweet potato fries. Heavenly. Will be back to try other burgers and fries for sure.

Great place to visit when you want a really decent set of burgers and fries. The interior is very inviting, as is the outside seating area.
When we went, it wasn’t too busy, but the staff made sure to help us right away. We sat out in the patio and took in the sights of the location.
The food was delicious. I had the tenders with hot honey and fries. My wife had a burger with loaded fries. We washed it down with some crisp soda and walked away satisfied and with no issues. Awesome spot for a bite to eat on a date, with family, or even if you’re flying solo.

A level above your typical burger franchises. The restaurant is in the middle of Towne Lake Square.
Visited on a weekday after 3pm and here is my opinion:
Food: Order at front when you walk in. I ordered the “Classic” and hubby ordered the Wagyu Smashburger and shared a side of regular fries. The fries came out first which were shoe string in width and most were about an inch in length. I did not like the way the fries were cut and could hardly fill my mouth with them. The burger came out almost 10 mins later. My burger was delicious and juicy BUT the only problem was the saltiness. Please tone down the saltiness!
Same with hubby’s burger…
Service: when we walked in there was no one at the register or at the bar so we had to flag someone to assist us with our order. There weren’t many employees at the time we visited (mainly in the kitchen area).
Overall I would come again to try other items on the menu. Hopefully the food will not be too salty on the next round as I had to drink alot of water afterward.

The server Jamal was super friendly and knowledgeable about everything. Im really shy but felt super welcomed! Amazing service and serving too!
And their cucumber watermelon lemonade is so amazing! I ran me a second cup immediately!!

These burgers were beyond delicious. The Goodnight/Good Cause and Doddy Melt were packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. I’m honestly not sure what magic happens in the kitchen, but they were easily some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Will definitely be ordering again.

Great location, delicious meal and very friendly staff. We’ve been to this location a few times and they have been consistent with their fantastic staff and comfortable environment whether you’re inside or outside. Carter was our server on the day I am writing this review and he was phenomenal, very patient with us and took the time explain every question we asked. He has an honest approach and will let you know what a menu item will be like, make great recommendations. We enjoyed our food and service thoroughly.
