I always stop at the Flight Deck for a lite snack and some cold drinks before I fly out. Denise is a great bartender, very energetic and fun to chat with. She’s attentive and efficient. The draft beer is never stale and always cold. For some reason I always get the chicken finger basket when I’m here. They are fun to snack on while I sip booze and read the news. They come out hot, crispy and quickly.

Just fine for a breakfast sandwich. Generous helping of egg and cheese on a nice roll. Overall it was good and the tots were very tasty.

They lose a star because even for airport food it’s expensive, coming in at around $18 after tip.

The bar is kind of uncomfortable to sit at due to how far away the seats are and how there’s no foot rest up along the bar. Makes eating a bit awkward.

Great service and nice atmosphere.

Ordered from the QR code on the table and paid $57.31, including a tip in advance. Waited 20+ minutes and neither food nor drinks ever arrived. We were then told that the online ordering doesn’t work. Asked the bartender to cancel the order and refund my money, and he said he would have to do that from the back office but promised to do so. Never happened, and I’m now in a 3-day text war with the manager to resolve the mess. Eat and drink somewhere else.

In the middle of this quiet yet busy airport, you will find a retro-styled diner. Playing on the jukebox
A real, personal airplane in apple red is suspended over the booth area. The atmosphere is modern meets old-school with large comfortable booths; not the things in Denny’s where you sit down and the seat sags into a hole you can hardly dig yourself out of, especially after a hearty breakfast. Bonus, there was plug for my laptop at the booth. Yay!

The tables and floors were clean as if it was just opened vibe. The restaurant was self-served from placing the order to paying the bill, yet my food was delivered with a smile

The menu has a few options so don’t expect variety but it caters to a specific branding.
I ordered a simple BLT, hold the mayo, with fries and an old-fashioned cocktail.
The app had issues but Craig was able to take care of my order and payment without an issue or me repeating myself.

The bar had all the old-time favorites as well as some new crafts. I was pleasantly surprised at the bartender/server’s execution of my old-fashioned drink. Craig clearly knew what to do. I say this because most bartenders I have run into don’t even know how to make an Old Fashioned and, after they look it up, they always make it just plain wrong. Thank you, Craig! The food came quickly and Craig delivered it to my table. Served hot, perfectly cooked, and picture perfect. Bravo to the chef. I know it was a BLT, hold the mayo, but you don’t know how many times the bread was soggy or the fries were limp. Not at the Flight Deck Diner! Bread was crisp, fries were too and piping hot, and the bacon was crisp yet not oily in the least. My fries were unsalted and that was perfect.
If you got a moment, stop by the Flight Deck Diner in Rochester NY. Grab an old fashion the way it should taste and enjoy.

The people in the kitchen work hard and the food was good, but the SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. The one old guy kept on complaining about how he was the only one serving. One big attitude. They should fire the trumpeter and hire a couple of happy people. Next time we’ll go to Subway!

Todd was an excellent server. Very friendly and personable! Drinks were made well and those were the best chicken tenders we’d had in awhile. Only complaint is that the food is expensive, but I don’t expect any less from an airport restaurant!

Holy moly Helen Keller could run this place better. Just wanted to grab a quick beer before I boarded and waited 20 minutes to even be greeted at the bar. Lots of lost business walked off since he refused to even acknowledge them standing at the bar. Finally placed my drink order and he forgot one of my items. When I finally grabbed his attention he argued with me claiming I never ordered the second item. Maybe a miscommunication, but at the end of the day just serve my drink and stop arguing. Go anywhere in the airport but this dumpster fire. Yikes.

Choose a different place to eat. The food is less than mediocre at high airport prices. The service was non-existent after ordering food . Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

Probably one of the better places to eat at the Rochester Airport?
While not a ringing endorsement given the competition , at least it has fast attentive service and diner type food along with drinks as you prepare for a flight ✈️

I want to express how completely unacceptable my experience was. Our group placed mobile orders and waited 30 minutes only to be told that one of the burgers was frozen and that order had to be canceled. That’s disappointing on its own, but my personal experience was even worse.

I waited at the bar for 10 minutes, attempting to get the server’s attention four different times. I was told “hold on” or “be right there” three separate times, with not a single actual follow-up. This wasn’t even during a busy rush—it was relatively empty. There was no attempt to greet me, help me, or even acknowledge that my order hadn’t arrived at all.

In the end, I had to leave without receiving anything I paid for, and I couldn’t even get someone to process a cancellation or refund because no one would address me at all. I essentially paid for food that never existed—a ghost order.

The service was unprofessional, discourteous, and downright insulting. No customer should be ignored like that, especially at an airport where travelers rely on timely service. I will absolutely never return here when flying out of Rochester. It’s embarrassing that this is the impression my hometown airport diner gives visitors—a complete disgrace.
