I’ve been here many times, and it’s been consistently delicious. The food tastes authentic to my palette, as someone who’s ethnically Cambodian and spent my childhood in Thailand.

My favorite is the tom yum goong (spicy tangy soup with shrimp) – I would argue best in the city. I come for this soup when I’m nostalgic, or looking for comfort.

My husband’s favorite is drunken noodles. He likes it spicy, and he said it would be pretty spicy for the average person. But we are freaks of nature, so it was mild for us.

We actually came to the area to try the Mediterranean place next door, but it was closed. We were hesitant to try here because we were recently burned by a new restaurant experience. I’m so glad we continued.

I’ve never had Thai food before, but this was soooo good. My kids got chicken nuggets and fries and they devoured them. That isn’t always something they do. I tried a nibble and they were tasty.

My husband got a seafood noodle soup and he liked it. I tasted a scallop and the broth out of it. The soup was flavorful and the scallop good.

I got the beef garlic stir fry. I was in love with it. I’ve attempted to make a dish like this at home and it was nowhere near as good as this place. I’m craving more of the sauce.

We left all happy and full but not disgusting feeling. We are already discussing when we can go back.

I ordered the stir-fried noodle chicken meal on 4/8/25. The first issue I ran across is the fact that the spice level I asked for was incorrect, and so the meal was quite spicier than I wanted. However, the main issue is that today, 4/9, I went to microwave my leftovers and after I had finished the majority of my food, I discovered that I had been chewing on a piece of plastic (photos added). Obviously that’s not ideal and frustrating since I had microwaved the leftovers with whatever piece of plastic had been in the order. The food is pretty good, but I won’t be going back for food safety reasons.

This was probably our favorite vegan meal while we were visiting in Louisville. We got the tofu soup for an appetizer, and then we got the panang tofu Curry with potatoes added. It was delicious, had lots of veggies, and was vegan. The price was reasonable for what we got as well. The service was also fantastic! We would highly recommend!

We went to Bahn Thai looking at the great rating. I should say I was a little disappointed. Ordered jungle curry tofu, cashew chicken, chicken pad thai, and red curry chicken. The jungle curry was better than the others. Cashew chicken was full of soy sauce. Red curry chicken was quite mediocre. Chicken pad thai was a tad too sweet. The positive thing is that it is wallet friendly but I guess, you get what you pay for!!!!! All in all, it was just ok for me, and I don’t think I will be returning here. I felt there are better thai places in Louisville.

Name changed, still same menu and delicious food that Sala Thai had.

Variety of noodle and curry dishes with your choice of spice levels and meat (or vegetables).

I got the mung bean noodle with chicken, substituted onions for mushrooms Thai spicy and my partner got pad Thai chicken.

Another huge improvement is the music change. Finally not playing the religious junk. Hate having religion shoved down my throat.

Ordered two Tofu Drunken Noodles for carry out. When I opened the box is at home, they were entirely different.
They had different sized noodles. One had peanuts and the other did not. One box have more tofu and neither had basil or any other vegetable-! it was just noodles and tofu.

Best most authentic Thai food in the area. Staff is always friendly. Food is always brought out quickly. I have nothing to complain about. Even the restrooms are very clean.

I’ve ordered from Sala Thai for 9 years now and have always loved the Pinapple Chicken fried rice. Bahn Thai is nasty, we ordered 2 servings of Pinapple chicken fried rice and it came with no sauce, just white rice, 4 chunks of Pineapple and a handful of raisins from some Childs lunch. No peas, carrots, onions, cranberries per usual. When we called to rectify the situation we were hung up on. Awful awful awful
