A+ Mexican restaurant . The michelada is incredible. Queso birri tacos crunchy and savory. Chips always come out fresh and hot and the salsa was delicious. I would come here just for the micheladas to be honest so the great food, service, and ambience of the restaurant is icing on the cake. This shopping center is where Madison Ave pizza is which another fave of mine. Great place to eat in Dunedin

We’ve gotten take-out from here a couple times and really liked it. The staff is friendly and helpful, even the one time they were packed for Cinco de Mayo.
The enchiladas with red sauce are irresistible with shedded beef. The hot sauce is very spicy and delicious, only thing was I paid for the big container and got the little container :).

Ok, so we used to frequent another Mexican restaurant in the area until we found this little gem. WOW! Originally came in because I was looking for the perfect birria tacos, and it looks like I found them! Have been back multiple times and have not had a bad meal yet. The food is so fresh and yummy, we won’t go to another Mexican spot again. Brought the kids here and they concur. Such a cozy vibe going on in this little spot. Happy Cactus really does make you happy . Try the quesabirria tacos and the Cali burrito. Insane.

This was a “chance” stop for a late dinner and we were blown away with the quality and flavor of the food! My traditional Carne Asada tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had! My wife’s cheese enchiladas were delicious! The traditional black beans and Mexican rice was great. I’ve been searching my whole life for Mexican rice that stands up to rice I ate as a child and this is a very close second!!! We would HIGHLY Recommend Happy Cactus!!

The food here is excellent and authentic. I had the carnitas 3 taco plate, Tex-Mex style. I especially enjoyed the side of beans and rice. The rice was so soft and delicious. The beans, to me, were far better than the standard mashed sides served at other restaurants. This meal was a pleasant experience.
The wife had the shrimp fajitas that she delighted over. Her side of beans was a nice surprise as they tasted like chili beans with meat. Again, they were much better than what we’re usually served elsewhere. So good.
Even the salsa served with the gratuitous chips was outstanding. Freshly made and with cilantro. Yummy.
Overall, a nice and delicious meal. We will return to try out some of their other dishes, for sure.

Really outstanding Mexican food! Authentic flavors in a cute and comfortable setting. Shout out to Alfredo for excellent service. The chilaquiles verde were absolutely fantastic. My husband had 3 different traditional tacos: carne asada, birria, and carnitas, each one perfectly delicious. Definitely recommend.

The food was good but the portions were different even though the prices were the same. The service was slow and the waitress didn’t seem trained to keep an eye on our table, water needs, etc. they waitresses were sweet however. Three small tortillas are not enough for the entrees either. Four should be the minimum, especially for $20 entrees. I will try it again.

Love a good Mexican dinner and this was a good surprise! Environment is fresh and well designed. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the menu. Chips are made to order. And we liked the CA Burrito. We probably won’t order the fried tacos again but look forward to trying some other options.
