I really enjoyed the food — it was fresh and delicious. I visited around 8:30 PM, and it was totally worth the 1-hour ride!
We ordered Dal, and I gave some instructions — the chef made it perfectly. I also ordered Paneer Tikka Tandoor; the paneer cubes were a good size with mild flavors and a nice aroma of Indian spices.
Finally, I want to mention the rotis — the chef made them perfectly! Not too oily, soft, and well-cooked even though it was a late order. I’m truly impressed

Waitress couldn’t have been any more unfriendly, & never came around to fill a drink and nobody was in there besides 2 tables and 2 at the bar. Food was good, we got the wrong dish too but after a 1 hour wait and no sign of food we ate what we got. Would have loved that korma. Again food was good but service blew and the wait time was wicked long especially since nobody was there. We had to go to the bar just to ask for a drink as the waitress relentlessly walked 10’ away and 10mph past us lol.

I had an amazing experience at Destination India! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors, which is great by NH standards. The garlic naan came out warm and perfectly soft with just the right amount of garlicky goodness, ideal for scooping up everything. The palak paneer tasted incredibly fresh, with creamy spinach and tender paneer. My go-to and favorite was the chicken vindaloo. I ordered it Indian spicy and it had that perfect level of heat, bold and flavorful without being overwhelming.
On top of the fantastic food, the service was extremely fast and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and made us feel genuinely welcome. The warm, inviting atmosphere and quick service make this spot a standout.
If you love Indian food and need a good option in NH or want to try it for the first time, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Highly recommend!

We were a group of 5 people looking for something to eat after shopping at Merrimack. Since it’s located in NH, we first didn’t have high hopes. But we were wrong. The food here is really good. Our recommended dishes are Chicken 65, Tandoori Salmon (needed more salt but was perfectly cooked), Aloo Gobi Mattar. We also ordered the Gobi Manchurian ( which was a little sweeter side but was very crispy and cooked to perfection), and the tandoori chicken biryani (this was OK the meat didnt taste good). They owner and staff are really sweet and kind they gave us 3 small bowls of complimentary kheers, which was super tasty (highly recommended)

The best Indian restaurant in New Hampshire. If you’re looking to be more adventurous in this cuisine, this is the place. Everything on the menu is amazing and authentic. I come here at least every other week. The portions are very generous and makeup for the prices. I always leave with hefty leftovers that I eat for 2-3 days. Their signature Destination cocktail is outstanding.

Service was slow but very friendly. It was nice that they gave us suggestion. Goat curry was great, has such a depth of flavor. Cheese garlic naan was awesome, stuffed with both American and Indian cheeses which gave it a nice mix of things.

The is was our first visit to Destination India Restaurant & Bar on Main St in Derry, NH. We love Indian food and had been so excited to try it because of its high rating of 4.8! It was just an OK for us. Not great, unfortunately. We were seated right away at 6:30 (I had made a reservation) and then waited for almost 15 mins before we were greeted and given menus & water, tho the restaurant wasn’t busy. For some reason the server greeted only my husband! I’ve never experienced that before where their back was turned to me and only faced and spoke to my hubby. That was a new experience! Same thing when he took our order. I was speaking to his back. Interesting. . The salad came 48 mins after our arrival (finally, we were very hungry!) and it was big and looked very appealing. The dressing wasn’t my fave, but overall it was good. A while later the food came all at once. We had asked for a mild presentation, but it was still quite spicy for us. We got shrimp curry which was OK, lamb chops, which tasted nice but were over cooked and dry, chicken vindaloo, which was OK, the chix was tender, there was only one piece of potato and we ordered butter naan, which was hard and too chewy and you couldn’t taste any butter. I’m glad we tried it and satisfied my curiosity, but I don’t think we’ll go back. Our bill came to almost $98 with tip, for food that tasted old, dry, too spicy and just overall not great. There are other Indian restaurants which we prefer to this one.

Awesome and flavorful food. We were there after 2 hours of drive and it was totally worth it. We ordered chhole masala , dal tadka, methi matar malai and garlic naan. It was sooo delicious that we also packed for home.
We also tried gulab jamun they were soo good too and exactly how I told them warm and soft.

Sumid was our waiter and bartender. If you go here, see Sumid! He made my mother and I coconut and mango margaritas and honestly, they were the best cocktails we’ve both EVER had!
Soooo good!! For lunch we had veggie samosas, butter naan, chicken tiki masala and chicken korma. EXCELLENT! Everything was brought out quickly and hot. Packed with flavor and cooked to perfection! This place is amazing! We can’t wait to go back and try other dishes Sumid recommended. We are of Indian decent but don’t know much about the culture, so Sumid answered questions and taught us about India. He’s the best! We can’t wait to go back, this will be our new regular spot!
I also loved the natural light sitting by the window watching people outside walk by. I loved that it’s located downtown Derry (an adorable downtown if you haven’t been). Parking was easy when we went. The resturant is clean, had good music and a giant bar.
I’ll be dreaming of my next meal there until I return. YUM!
