This place is fantastic! Friendly people and some reaaallll good food! Their salad and soup bar is really good! I had some outstanding fried chicken. I even ordered broccoli with it and that was really good too! I also had the pleasure of eating a piece of their lovely carrot cake! It is very delicious with cream cheese icing–which if you never have had cream cheese icecream it is the best icing you can make, and they made it deliciously.

My husband and I went here because for some odd reason he loves the Country Fried Steak. We arrived at 11:30 am. My husband ordered the CFS and I ordered the fried fish. At 12:30pm I decided to ask our server how much longer would it be for our food , she replied “just a minute “ Frustrated I went to the window and saw our server telling the cook to rush our food. We decided to leave. Either the server forgot to put our order in or the cook lost the check. Either way it is completely unacceptable. This is not the first time we’ve had a bad experience. Once I ordered fried fish and didn’t know they were out of tartar sauce until the food arrived. The waitress kind of blew me off. I told her that the manager needs to go to the supermarket, buy some mayonnaise and relish and make it happen. For heavens sake it was all you can eat fish Friday! The management is nonexistent, and the servers are incompetent. We will not be returning. It’s a shame really because their fried fish and grits are really tasty. The whole FOH needs to be replaced.

I rated it with a 5 star for the simple fact that that so many T/A travel centers are going to fast food chain restaurants. I really like Country Pride sit down restaurants!!! Almost ALL Country Prides are the same with 2/3 star averages…would just like to remind everyone, be careful with those reviews…maybe contact T/A corporate privately. The corporate teenagers will look at your reviews and criticisms and turn this into another Taco Bell in a heartbeat…maybe just give a 5 star and think about if there was NO Country Pride here at all…the salad/soup bars are always super nice!!! Getting an omelet for breakfast is way better than a heat lamp egg sandwich…please think before you type???

We just stepped out after waiting more than half an hour for two simples breakfast orders. Reading other reviews I realize this is an issue haven’t been resolved. Who’s the problem then? Management? Apologies doesn’t fix the problem. Action does!
