Im crazy of sashimi.
It is very impossible to find raw live fish in other states.
But, Only N.Y and L.A. does have this because they have so enough sashimi restaurants with high demand that they could import raw fishes with acceptable Transportation costs from korea by airplanes.
This is economies of scale.
Anyway,
Sashimi was excellent for me.
Service and Atmosphere doesn’t matter to me.
I was so happy to enjoy live fish.
I recommend you to visit if you like to live seafood.
Highly encourage coming here with your friends and family. The service is impeccable, and the food is delicious!
친절하고 맛잇어요!!
Fanily and I ordered Bone-in Sliced Fish and Live Fish menu item, which came with many side dishes for us to enjoy. Select favorites were the oden and katsudon. Best to come in on an empty stomach because you will be eating a lot! The live fish platter was nicely presented and had nice texture. It is served with sesame leaves and lettuce for you to wrap the fish in with soybean paste.
– Service
Very attentive service, cleaned the finished dishes in timely manner. There are a lot of separate plates so space management is key. We were glad to have good service.
– Ambiance
Quaint and small shop with cute lanterns above. There is a fishtank as well where they keep the live fish and other critters (abalone, eels, etc). In the back is the sushi chef. There is a bathroom as well.
The enticing array of tsukidashi whetted my appetite, and the fresh raw fish was a delightful treat. Every dish, including the spicy stew, was executed perfectly, making it a memorable dining experience that I look forward to sharing with friends on future visits.
It looks like classic Jeju Island style which I saw from Korean drama and we were surrounded by Koreans so I think it should be authentic.
We were astounished by the spread of combo for three. The portion was incredibly huge with reasonable price. It’s overall fresh, flavorful and satisfying but not delicate at all.
5 of us had a nice early dinner. The server was super attentive and friendly. The quality and freshness of sashimi was superb. The quantity was more than what we can consume for dinner. The best dish served was 매운탕 which I dont have the picture uploaded. We will go back to try other dishes they have.
The sashimi was yummy but the flounder is definitely more on the chewier side. It seems like the most ordered dish as everyone around us also ordered the flounder sashimi.
Would come back again!
We are a family of 6 so the staff recommended 3 orders of fresh seafood and 3 orders of assorted sashimi. The portion was really good, really appreciated all of their dishes, including the pasta which my kids loved. We will be back here for sure!
