Until recently I had only had their amazing sandwiches. Don’t sleep on the Meat & 2; 2 should really mean two meals worth. So good. Pictured here is the Brisket with Sweet Potato Poblano Salad (legit can’t stop telling people how good it is) and the Mediterranean Pasta Salad.
I work in Crosstown and my coworkers and I legit look up their sandwich of the day every single day. It becomes a game of will it intrigue me enough to talk me out of eating what I brought to lunch for the day. Pretty good success rate. Easily my favorite spot to eat in the building.

When we heard they had a Beet Reuben Sandwich, we had to try it! It was great! We also had the Portobello Mushroom Sandwich, Onion Rings, Cheese Sticks, and a slice of Potato Tart. It was a lot of food! Everything was delicious. The Cheese Sticks are unlike any we’ve ever had before. They have more of a battered coating compared to the standard breadcrumb coating. We highly recommend them. They have several other Veggie friendly choices that we are looking forward to trying in our next visit. They package all of the food to go for easy transport, but they do have a few tables in the store to eat at if you so choose. We ate there and it was very comfortable to do so. The store was fun to explore, was very clean, and everyone there was so nice. It was just a happy place to enjoy a wonderful lunch.

This place is a great little mom and pop grocery store with a Memphis city flair. There is an interesting array of cold salads, hot and cold sandwiches, hot dogs, potatoes, and soups. I paid $7 for a loaded baked potato that came with a delicious cheese sauce as well as the usual toppings. I destroyed half of it before I remembered to snap a photo.

Mad Grocer is my favorite place for soups, sandwiches, and savory snacks. The portion sizes of any item on their menu always give you a BIG BANG for your buck. You will always have leftovers for later if you can’t eat it all. Their Mempholatta sandwich is my absolute favorite.

I eat at the Mad Grocer multiple times a week. It has a wide variety of options from a soup and sandwiches of the day to deli sandwiches, to bake potatoes and hot dogs. Plus meat and two options. The staff are so friendly and it’s nice to be able to grab small grocery items if needed as well.
