My honest opinion is that although Lucky Garden is through new ownership, the quality of food stayed the same as Fast Dragon’s. Also why would they keep old Fast Dragon reviews if they are a different restaurant now? Some pieces of the pork in the fried rice were undercooked (yes I understand it has a red40 marinade but look at the pictures), the peppers were lazily cut in large pieces and tasted raw or like they had been thrown in a pan for just 10 seconds. The steak tasted odd, without any sort of crispiness (almost like it was boiled). It made me sad because I wanted to try out this new place. It’s not often I leave bad reviews, but there were multiple things wrong with this and it just ruined my lunch. At least the egg roll was good. I’d be opening to coming back in the future if they change, but my first 2 orders here have been bad. Make no mistake, they have done a great job revamping the interior and have GREAT customer service!!!! But at the end of the day, I come to a restaurant for good food and it honestly feels like I could make much better at home.

I was hungry, didn’t want fast food or pay the price. I had been there as Fast Dragon, thought I would check it out. I wanted simple food, I tried the chicken fried rice. Yellow rice, bamboo shoots, onion chunks, pretty sparce on chicken. Flavor of the rice was decent. I also had a egg roll, that was fried too long. Wrapper was edible. Would need improvements before I would go back.

The food is of a good quality. Some dishes are better than others. The staff is very friendly. Ordering is fast and simple. The variety in the menu is typical of type of restaurant. The spicy dishes have good flavor without being overly spicy.

Orange chicken has a solidified gel around it, soda is flat, fried rice is dry, yellow, and flavorless, and the lo mein is barely tolerable… anyone have a recommendation for EDIBLE Chinese food in the area?

I ordered the roast pork egg foo young. That is not what I got. I got fried rice, soft noodles, pork, and a few onions. No gravy. It was super dry and not good. I added my own pork gravy to make it edible. Not what I ordered.

Went with a group of friends. Been awhile since I’ve been there. Needless to say it was displeasing. The cooks look like they didn’t care. Price was kinda expensive for mediocre food. AND all of us left with food poisoning. Would not recommend to anyone in Pekin or the area.

We love this restaurant. Been going there for many years. The owner is a sweetie with a smile & a hug. The food is consistently good. I hate going places that one visit the food is great & the next visit not so much. We have our favorites such as the walnut shrimp, served around the weekend. They may have a few less choices on their buffet, but I guarantee you will love what they offer.
