My experience was a disaster.
Friends invite me. We were curious and excited especially as they have so many restaurants.
The service was terrible but I can forgive that because it’s newly opened. The decor is nice.
The food is very mediocre. Nothing to write home about.
The prices are shocking.
I found myself wondering if they forgot to try the competition which sits within a stones throw of them before curating their menu.
There is nothing I would go back there for.
I’m sorry but a house made fresh pasta costs $2 -$3 per pound.( with a pasta machine) And 1 pound feeds 3-4 people.
So with pasta at a max of $.75 cents and sauce at generously $2. I’m befuddled at the price of their food.
Restaurants I thought ran on 30% food cost, of so I have read, so a bowl of pasta should be priced on the menu at about $9.
Throw in sausage or chicken or shrimp and maybe you are at $20. But not more.
The non pasta part of the menu is also outrageously priced.
In some cases at almost double other restaurants in the area.
Tuna tartare for $31. Who is going to pay that ?
Not me.
The cost of food at Felice is more like 10-15%.
With that being said I do wish them luck and recommend they try out all the surrounding area restaurants and do a major price adjustment or they won’t even be here as long as mexicue was.
