Best date spot hubby and I have found since moving here!! Amazing red curry and the service is great. Super cozy inside and everyone is just so kind, makes Charleston feel a little more like home. They even have stamp card rewards for regular customers. Love this place and can’t wait to come back again soon :))

My husband and I were in the mood for Thai food so we decided to try Lanna Thai Cuisine. At first when we pulled up, the place looked closed but then we drove around and saw someone inside. They motioned for us to call and we realized it was takeout only. We decided to order anyways. We ordered Grilled Shrimp Papaya Salad, Pad Thai with vegetables and Noodle Salad with pork. We really enjoyed the papaya salad, it was the right amount of tangy, crunchy and a hint of sweetness. It was bursting with flavor. The Pad Thai was great as well, I only wish I had ordered it a little spicy. The noodle salad was okay, I wish the side dressing had some chilies like it traditionally does and the pork itself was a little dry and chewy. Overall, we had a really good experience with takeout at Lanna Thai Cuisine and received fast and prompt service.

Such amazing service and food. Really deserves more attention than it was getting when we went there! Go try it folks! Maybe take baby steps with the spice level haha. We went to 5 and got what we asked for! No one has spice like Lanna! Great welcoming service. OMG the tofu! So perfect. No complaints at all! Can’t wait to come back and try more offerings.

Spent $40 on some curry and rice. Used to be a good place but this is what I got for $40. Half the rice that we used to get with the curry. Not exactly sure how I’m going to eat all the curry with half the rice that used to come with it. To be cheap and cut back on something you cheaped out on white rice. The least expensive thing to everybody. Used to be able to feed 4-6 people on that order. Now you’re lucky to get 2 with a ton of left over curry. Doesn’t make sense. Last time for me.

I gotta say I used to eat here at least once a week, then it turned into at least twice a month, then it turned into at least once a month until they get their crap together! I am totally fed up with spending my money and my time coming to this place, and it continue to skimp and destroy the product that they originally started with two years ago when I first came here. I ordered the seafood Pho and It came with 3/4 of one scallop, three mussels , And zero shrimp. When I complained to the waitress about it, she went to the back without issue and ass, and all I could hear is the woman in the back screaming at her and then she came back and told me that they gave me four scallops and two shrimp. I showed the young lady as I rifle and scraped through the soup to find any more mussel any shrimp and Showed her, the 3/4 of a Scallop that was served to me. She went back and got yelled at again. Then they bring me out yet another 3/4 of a scallop and said the chef said this is all you get. I never blame the waitress. I tipped her well she was awesome, but I will not come back to this place until they go back to the root of what made them a great restaurant before. I’m very disappointed I’ve spent hundreds upon almost thousands of dollars at this place if not more bringing friends family just to experience what they had at the time. Bring back what you want because right now you have lost me.

It was our first time visiting this place since it was close to our hotel. I ordered Pho and Pad Thai. I would say the Pad Thai was quite delicious, but unfortunately, the Pho didn’t taste good. Before the food arrived, the server brought a plate of vegetables for the Pho, but they were unfresh and wilted. I couldn’t understand how she didn’t notice, as it was obvious right on top. The broth had too much star anise, which gave it an overpowering smell and pretty sweet. As for the customer service, there wasn’t anything noteworthy to comment on.

It’s a good simple Thai food restaurant… I would stick to the Curries… especially the red curry would be a must try. If you like spicy food then stick to number 4 of spicy level. Do order extra portion of rice or noodles if you want. As along the curry the rice portion is small. I tried the Pho but it was ok. Overall a ok experience
