Honestly very surprised, This place is always been amazing. To be fair I ordered my food through a delivery service 9/17/25 and I was very excited to have this offering. Our food arrived quickly And we ordered two entrees which included one side a piece We chose the same side of salads. Upon taking everything out of the bag there was only one salad. Kind of head scratching has it seemed to be a smaller easy order. We kind of brushed it off considering we got a small loaf of bread with our order too. That was also short-lived because the bread was absolutely stale I might even question if it was from yesterday. Seriously :-(. I really don’t want to sound like I am trying to down this place because I’m telling you I have had some excellent dishes from here before, but I want to be honest with this experience too. The food was not cold, but definitely not hot. The only other thing I would recommend is that please remember that these dishes Not made fresh, but warmed and in these situations a little more sauce would be great or even list an option to purchase a little more sauce. Please please do better! I have had this food many times and have been satisfied and you have always done a good job. This is the first time for delivery so I don’t know if you have different standards for that but please try to figure out something. Thank you.

Decided to stop here one night and do not regret it. Adorable restaurant with super friendly staff. The garlic knots are fantastic and you can taste the authenticity and care in the food. Had the Cajun chicken pasta, which was delicious!!!! Such a great meal, from a place I had never heard from. Will definitely be back.

Someone tell the chef, salt isn’t a main ingredient unfortunately this wasn’t a discussion
Italian food needs to be seasoned but here we get salt and more salt
This was only a half step ahead of Olive Garden and that’s a bad thing
Family restaurants deserve that experience to make them different but this seems like the family just watched several mafia movies and decided this is the decor
As stated, the food was overly salted. Kindly discussed it with the server and nothing was resolved
Then the atmosphere, there was a large family talking up all the servers and attention; which is understandable if they were regulars but to the rest of the restaurant they were neglected with extended wait time for service and whatnot
This is a disappointment, I have read all of the reviews where I seriously think most are friends and family hyping this place because nothing about this restaurant deserves praise.
I don’t usually write negative reviews (currently 4) but this place doesn’t live up to any of the positive reviews. Plus someone should check out if a cardiologist or someone ties with medicine is bank rolling this because most of the food will lead to high blood pressure and other medical problems to come
And this isn’t a one off; two years ago this was the same except for the family garnering all the attention
So, I’m very sorry but someone had to point these things out especially the food scene in Racine has upped it’s level; so this establishment needs to take strides to right these wrongs

Updated Review – 1/30/25: Another Thursday night date night at Salute. We love this place. Delicious food, incredible service, and a great atmosphere. Tonight we had the Assorted Italian Meats and Cheeses for an appetizer, a Cheese and Sausage pizza, and Cheese Lasagna. My Lasagna came with a salad. We were also served warm bread. Everything was delicious! We had leftovers to take home for lunch tomorrow. We highly recommend eating at Salute!
Updated Review – 10/5/23: It was Thursday night and decided it was a great day for a date night. Let’s go to Salute… our favorite restaurant…. Get our favorite table up in the corner by the window…. Order some delicious food…. And have a great time. And we did! The service was great. The food was delicious…. And it was the perfect date night! Thank you Salute!

Updated Review – 7/22/23: My in-laws were in town and we decided to get Italian food…. specifically pizza! So, we decided on Salute. We placed the order on the phone and picked it up. We ordered two medium pizzas…. Pepperoni and Sausage…. and the Marano Pizza. Mmmm!!! And we also ordered three House Salads with the Italian Cover…. Delicious! To finish it off, we ordered Tiramisu…. Incredible! As always, I highly recommend Salute Italian Restaurant.

The service was incredible…. fast, helpful, and friendly! I had my favorite dinner choice…. the meat lasagna! My wife had the Chicken Rigatoni. Our friends had the special pasta of the night and a sausage pizza. Everything was perfect…. including the salads and soup. We love Salute! I highly recommend eating there!

Our first time at Salute and it was absolutely amazing. Our server Fabiola was incredibly kind and helpful, she was very attentive and continuously coming to check in on us. She recommended us some amazing dishes and we’re not disappointed. She was truly so kind and great!
