0 star if possible, Worst $117 spends. The place is very spacious and clean. I would suggest calling in first to see what they actually have instead of looking on their website or Yelp. We wanted to tried the family rice combo that was seen on Yelp and their website. When they sat us down, proceed to taking our order we ask about the rice combo, the waitress just reply saying that we don’t have it. When we said that we didn’t see it coming soon on the website not Yelp, she just give us attitude saying yeah but we don’t have it. Not us but, there were 2-3 different parties came in after us asking the same thing about the rice combo. Minding you the most updated menu was 20 days ago. If its coming soon or you don’t have it, either put it out of the menu or updated so we know what to expect. Adding on, the employee just standing there eating on snack and don’t pay attention to anyone. Also if you have snack in front of customers please wash hand before serving us. I been working in a restaurant industry for 5 years and that is basic manners.

Update: server have a lot attitude. When ask where the noodle is for, we said one on the other side of the table, she roll your and give a long sigh, one of the server see it had to run out and help her carry it. If you gonna be a spoil princess, and don’t want to walk then just say at home. When we ask can we get a receipt, she sighs as if it’s a lot of work for her to print a receipt. Aren’t you suppose to ask if the customer need a receipt when giving them their change before closing the tab??? Table design is so interesting. When eating you had to lean forward because the table was higher and far away making your back hurt. Honestly I never give a lot of bad review at restaurants because I know how it feels but this is really the worst experience. I’m from SD always love to come to OC to try new foods that remind me of Vietnam

I tried Ngon Restaurant (btw, I learned that Ngon is Vietnamese for delicious/tasty) for the soft opening and while there’s still some room to improve, I definitely recommend supporting this small business. We ordered the Phở Hà Nội, sticky rice with pork floss and pâté, Pho Cuon, and the shaken Vietnamese coffee. The coffee was nicely made, rich, smooth, and easily the highlight of the visit. Parking was easy because we parked in the back and there was plenty of parking spaces available.

The interior is nicely decorated and feels welcoming. When we arrived, we signed in and there were already many people waiting, which shows how much excitement there is around this new spot. Overall, a promising start, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they refine things.

This restaurant is visually pretty and spacious. I love how it is updated and very clean and inviting.

Food was great, there is a lot of good options.

Ordered the Pho, broth was flavorful however on the sweeter side. This is northern style pho so it comes with the thicker rice noodles and only comes with the one type of meat. It came with a good amount of noodles and meat.

Bun reiu- soup was nice and flavorful and came with a plate of lettace, however it didnt have any tomatoes, 2 small meat and 1 crab meat ball. The snail was hard in ineligible and pork blood. For the price I was very disappointed because I expected more.

The pate bread was good and only comes with 3. They have pate ane shredded pork on the top.

I love the sauces on the table because it has the pickled garlic ans spicy thai chili blend sauce at the table. I loved it.

Service was almost non existent. It took us a bit to get served and once we had the food the waiter never dropped by until we waved them down.

Food and restaurant was great, service wasnt as great but it could have been an off day. I would reccomend this place

From the outside in this place is decent but evening fell apart once inside. The food here is ok but serving size is small. You can tell from my photos. Servers are not dialed in yet, asked for more napkins a few times and still didn’t get any. The worst and never encountered thing was a 3% charge for using any credit card here. Crazy. I hope they can change for the patrons.

+ Nice comfy restaurant
– Banh mi chao “Signature Dishes” was extremely chewy eventhough medium rare was ordered. The sauce was sweet like candy.
– Banh da cua Hai Phong was salty.

1. The bun rieu had a lot of toppings! Definitely still a comforting dish!
2. The spot has fun casual vibes! The interior is nicely arranged and decorated!
3. The staff was friendly and timely with my order! It was ready in about 10 mins!
Note: There are restrooms available for customers!

I’ve tried a few places for pho. I’ve been disappointed with the others. I don’t have to look any further! This place is perfect! It has a different flavor than what I am used to but way WAY better than anything else around. We also got the rice with fish sauce chicken wings, and a banh mi bo kho to share. Everyone was happy with how their food tasted. Definitely recommend this cozy family run business. Staff is very friendly also.

The Ngon soft opening was just right decent. We went as a family to try this new place and the food overall was super bland and the meat was chewy such as the Pho and Bun Da, they were also very stingy with their vegetables and protein. The waiters can barely speak English so there was a bit of a language barrier which caused confusion. PLUS we also had to ask for our own spoon and napkins. I understand that they were understaffed but that should be no excuse for a restaurant. But overall, the ambience was beautiful and modern. WARNING there may be fake 5 stars due to the restaurant bribing their customers with free drinks.

Every time I dine in or grab takeout, the food is fresh and tastes amazing. The staff are friendly and genuinely sweet. I’ve never left disappointed and I’ll keep ordering from here. My favorite is the pho cuon, always fresh and super satisfying.

So far weve tried the pho, the vermicelli bowls, and a few appetizers, and everything was not only nicely presented but also absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The staff is also exceptionally friendly, and the value for money is excellent.

Well definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. 🙂
