The timing of the service was unfortunately disjointed. Our Biryani was served well before our drinks arrived. When I requested the staff to take the Biryani back and serve the drinks first, the dish never returned to our table. Despite this, the Biryani remained on our final bill.
Regarding the meal itself, we found the Naan to be excellent and the Ghee Roasted Chicken quite flavorful, though it lacked the distinct aroma and richness of ghee we expected. The Paneer Butter Masala and Dal Makhani were pleasant but lacked the authentic depth of flavor typically associated with these traditional dishes.

I have visited IDesi countless times, and it is always a joy. The staff is friendly, there is always some catchy Indian tunes playing, and the food is not only flavourful, but very affordably priced given the portion sizes. The Indo-Chinese, Biryani, and Tandoori Appetizers are a special highlight, with the Dosas coming in second. In today’s economic situation, you can get a highly processed burger meal for 15 dollars, or instead visit IDesi for a delicious Paneer 65 Biryani that feels like it was cooked from the heart – to me, the choice is obvious.
If I had one piece of constructive criticism for the team, it would be that the menu is rather large. As mentioned above, I believe there are certain types of food this restaurant punches way above its weight in, and having a smaller menu may allow them to continue focusing on these items without distractions. Perhaps reducing the amount of Biryani and curry options to the few best sellers, and offering fewer but equally tasty appetizers could be an idea worth exploring.
I am excited to continue visiting IDesi as often as I can, and see how this restaurant continues to develop.

We rented the party hall for our daughter’s first birthday celebration, and we were so happy with the food, service, and overall arrangements. The starters — Gobi 777, noodles, and cut mirchi — were all super tasty and served hot. The main course was also great, especially the vegetarian biryani, which was flavorful and delicious. The highlight was the carrot halwa — absolutely amazing! Overall, we had a wonderful experience with the restaurant and would highly recommend booking their spacious hall for any event.

Tried the banana leaf thali. Haven’t experienced anything like this in Windsor in over 7 years—it brought back fond memories of “Pelli Banthi Bhojanam” from back home. The staff were very attentive and kindly served us more when they noticed we weren’t eating much.

From the moment I walked in, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and were apologetic for the food that I had gotten earlier. Every interaction felt personal, and you could tell the team genuinely cared about our experience.
The owners went above and beyond, offering great recommendations and checking in just the right amount. Even small details, like anticipating my needs or remembering preferences, made a big impact.
The food Mutton Ghee Roast and Mutton Biryani is a must try, but what really stood out was how the staff turned a simple meal into a memorable evening. It’s rare to find such a perfect blend of professionalism and heartfelt hospitality.
Highly recommended for anyone who values not just great food but truly outstanding service.

Ordered Mutton Ghee Roast, where there were only bones, no mutton, and it was hardly eatable the bones were too small, which were mixed in the gravy, which can cause a problem if we swallow. The taste was litterely the worst, didn’t expect the food to be this bad seeing the positive reviews.

Food was amazing very authentic. One of the best tasting Indian food I’ve had in a long while Service there were only two people working on Thursday night. Both of the girls were absolutely lovely but they seem way overworked. The place was pretty full, and the girls were running around doing their best. Atmosphere was nice to either hang out with friends or for an intimate dinner
