Ozark Mountain Biscuit & Bar is an absolute gem.
The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and welcoming—the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy breakfast properly. The “What a Country Breakfast” is phenomenal, and the Gouda grits are hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced.
Their buttermilk waffles are just as impressive: light, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Pair all of that with their fresh-ground coffee, and you’ve got a near-perfect breakfast experience.
If you’re in Columbia and appreciate great flavor, quality ingredients, and a cozy vibe, this place is a must-visit. I’ll absolutely be back.

Enjoyable experience at Ozark Mountain Biscuit Co. This place has a very well and thought out menu, everything from the food to the beverages is artistic. The service is always great no matter how busy it is and there is a nice patio for when the weather is right. The decor inside the restaurant is very inviting and the menu has lots of options where no matter your taste pallet, everyone will be able to find multiple options they like. Columbia is lucky to have this restaurant.

It was okay. Had buttermilk biscuits and sausage (can have a mushroom veg gravy option) gravy $9 with 2 eggs over-medium +$5. The eggs were quite runny yolk as in over easy but good.
The first of 3 biscuits halves was hard, not fork cuttable – required a knife. The other two were soft. Light flavor to both gravy and biscuits – okay.
I made the mistake of grinding table pepper on it that overpowered the light flavors completely. It was super pungent and a little floral that overpowered the dish. Skip the pepper.
Their Louisiana hot sauce was the bomb and they had a house-made Serrano vinegar sauce that was also intriguing, flavorful and light. I added both to the whole plate and the Louisiana really keyed up the dish well.
Had a draft winter Munich dunkel. Good color nice warm Carmel flavors just a touch of hoppy for a nice balance.

The best part was the biscuits. Food was decent. Pretty busy. Waitress was not as attentive as much as I like but wasn’t unfriendly. Would go again to get dinner after 4

Tried out this place on a recent visit to Columbia for a late Saturday afternoon lunch and it was a pleasant experience. We skipped the 40-minute wait for a table to eat at the bar which was completely empty when we arrived.
The bartenders were engaging, excellent selections and enjoyed an IPA beer and a sangria. For lunch: the Cajun Fried Shrimp was a tasty, flavorful choice and the side of collard greens was respectable, especially if you prefer them with a more vinegary aura. The Farmers Market Scramble was also a solid option, tasted fine.
The overall vibe seemed chill… it’s an open, airy atmosphere, the bar area is a great spot to gather, catch a Mizzou game and enjoy yourself!

We ordered some food to-go to enjoy next door, and while the food itself was mostly great, the service left something to be desired. The smash burger was excellent, and the creamy mac n cheese was rich and flavorful. The buffalo wings were a nice size and perfectly sauced, and the biscuit breakfast sandwich was also solid. However, the home fries were under-seasoned and fell a bit flat.
One downside worth noting: they charge extra for ranch, even when ordering buffalo wings—which feels a bit off for a place serving wings.

This place is exactly what you’re looking for in a college town restaurant and bar. Unique and delicious food, great service, a friendly atmosphere, and a bar with a great selection. I would definitely make it a point to go back again, and I will. I took my order of souiee piggie to go and couldn’t have been more pleased.

This is definitely up at the top for breakfast and brunch locations in Columbia Missouri. A little higher on price but I assure you its well worth every dollar. Their home fries are a staple of this restaurant do not leave without getting some. Those alone are 11/10 on taste. Service is amazing waitresses are always close by for refills and suggestions. And atmosphere is also perfect, it takes a minimal approach with a nature and country setting. I’ve thought about being tougher on reviews but this location earns every star for 5/5. 100% recommended for anyone local or stopping through. We intend to come back for a dinner because their breakfast and brunch are top notch

Jojo’s is incredible! My husband and I went there and had nothing but exceptional service from all the wait staff, delicious food (try The Willy, you’ll be sorry you didn’t!), and overall an amazing experience! Everyone there is very kind and attentive, Max our server was awesome! They’re doing a soft opening right now but the wait was most certainly worth it. Definitely a must if you’re in the area!
