Local pizzeria for big thin-crust pies loaded with toppings, plus po’ boys & late delivery hours.

Um sadly not the best. Really was excited about trying this place sicnce i was walkable from my Airbnb. I wouldn’t not really recommend. The pizza was fair. Everyone has a preference, I didn’t like it. The service was good despite the poor food. My salad had dirty and obviously old lettuce. I was very disappointed.

The pizza is pretty good, but they charge $4 extra for vegan cheese so I usually opt for G’s pizza instead. Wish Mid City Pizza had some vegan appetizers as well. They also don’t have any good vegan protein like tempeh or vegan sausage. Just veggies, which are fine but there are other restaurants that are better.
The atmosphere is fun, I like to sit on the patio. But I don’t come here much because I feel like I’m getting robbed by the cheese overcharge.

Mid City Pizza absolutely blew me away. I stopped in for lunch and ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The eggplant was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender inside—and the sauce and cheese came together in beautiful balance.
But the real star? The bread. It’s not your typical roll—it’s got this incredible texture and flavor that elevates every bite. Whatever they’re doing with that dough, it’s phenomenal and totally unique.
I also got to taste test a new pizza featuring garlic and olives, and it was bursting with flavor—savory, garlicky, and full of character, with just the right amount of chew in the crust.
From the food to the laid-back vibe, Mid City Pizza nails it. You can tell they care about their craft and their ingredients. Easily one of the best casual eats in New Orleans. I’ll definitely be back!

As someone who’s on the road often for work, I’ve learned to recognize when a restaurant takes its craft seriously—and Mid City Pizza in New Orleans absolutely does. I stopped in between meetings and ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich, which was outstanding: the eggplant perfectly crisp, the sauce rich but balanced, and the cheese layered just right.
But what really sets this place apart is the bread. It’s made from unbleached, unbromated flour and prepared with specially filtered and treated water designed to replicate New York City’s famed pizza water—and you can taste the difference. The texture is remarkable, with a delicate crunch and subtle chew that makes every bite memorable.
I also had the opportunity to sample a new garlic and olive pizza, and it carried that same attention to detail—bold flavor, quality ingredients, and a perfectly baked crust.
For business travelers looking for a true local gem—where the food has soul and the ingredients are taken seriously—Mid City Pizza is a must. It’s a slice (or sandwich) of genuine craftsmanship right in the heart of New Orleans.

Went in for take out ; The place itself looks nice, customer service is average. I ordered 1 large 1 small and asked for parm packs, was given two. After handing me the food they proceeded to ask for a tip, smh. The food is good but not better than Dominos. Would not go again, but enjoyed the atmosphere of the place itself.

Delicious pizza! Didn’t order a salad but the next table did and they were huge and looked delicious!

I have been here 3 times in my life, different year each time. This is by far the best pizza I’ve EVER had. The people I bring with me to try it say the same thing. I recommend it where ever I go.

Cool, funky neighborhood bistro. If you’re going to order a pizza anywhere you should get it here. The crust and the toppings are perfect. I’m a huge fan of the thin crust pizza. I had the Caprese salad and it was loaded with extra slices of basil. That made me very happy. Our bartender showed us her creativity with some strange concoction that had basil, lemonade and vodka, but after my second one it wasn’t strange anymore. I’m gonna be hanging out here a lot.

Really solid pizza all around. Good crust and ingredients. Nice service, a few solid beers on tap and it’s just consistently delicious. Clean bathrooms, nice decorations. Will continue to return to MCP.

What a cluster. Such a disappointing experience after seeing so many positive reviews. We ordered a pizza, salad, and wings. The wings (finally) arrived after we were almost ready to close out our tab (30 minutes into the meal!). They were overly breaded and not worth the wait! The staff seemed very disorganized. While we were waiting, another gentleman tried to pay for a beer he had, and the staff of three could not figure it out. Our heads were spinning by the end of this meal. For an $80 dinner, it was Not worth the price of admission. So disappointing.
