My wife and I were working at Constellation Nuclear on a Target Hardening 5-Day Multi-Installation Project and we needed a quick dinner. She wound up selecting The Village Tavern from Google Maps after reading several reviews. The Village Tavern is a simple, casual, and cozy, ‘Mom and Pop’ eatery with great meals, desserts, drinks, beers, and wines. They have a nice menu that is not overwhelming and has something for everyone. You can have a delicious and fabulous meal coupled with warm, friendly and fast customer service. The establishment is definitely a popular place with the locals. Above all, it is a refreshing change from the chains!
Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by Shannon who quickly seated us and took our drink ordered which was water with no ice and lemon. Shannon was very friendly, had a very welcoming demeanor, a genuine smile, and was very pleasant, courteous, Andrew cheerful. En route to the restaurant my wife and I had already decided on ordering burgers because we still had another four of work and it was almost 05:00 PM when we arrived at the restaurant. When Shannon returned with our waters, we immediately placed our orders. My wife ordered the 1/2 LB. Build Your Own Burger cooked to Medium Temperature with Mozzarella Cheese, Mushrooms, Lettuce and Tomatoes and fries. I ordered the 1/2 LB. Build Your Own Burger cooked to Medium Temperature with Pepper Jack Cheese, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoes and fries.
Initially, it appeared as if Shannon was the only Server working at the time that we arrived but she was doing her thing, making people happy, and keeping it moving! Groups of four and two begin arriving at the tavern as we were waiting on our meal. Shannon came from the kitchen with two huge plates which were our burgers. The presentation was beautiful and the food looked amazing and appetizing! She placed our plates on the table with a big genuine smile. Next, she provided us with ketchup and Tabasco Sauce which I had asked for when placing and told us to enjoy!
Everything was fresh, absolutely delicious, and our meals were prepared, portioned, cooked to perfection with love, and served hot. Truthfully, I eat at over one hundred different eateries in any given three month period and the $13.75 burgers at The Village Tavern puts a lot of places to shame! Fact is, a lot of Burger & Brewery joints charge over $14 for the burger alone and then charge extra for mushrooms, bacon, fries, etc. Shannon was very attentive, efficient, courteous, and made for a great dining experience. In short, we will definitely be returning there when we are in the Hannibal, New York area and try their other great looking meals. Kudos to Shannon (Host/Server), Steve (Chef), and Mike (Owner) for making a fabulous and warm experience!

Older building, rooms were clean, just a bit out of style. Bartender/servers were friendly. Portions were large and prices were fair.
They also offer a soup and salad bar, we did not have that but it was available and seemed popular.

Seen the place has been packed lately. Decided to order some take out. Steak and REAL potatoes was very delicious! All the food we ordered was good. All the workers I encountered down there were friendly.

Six of us dined here on Saturday and had a great dinner. The waitress was phenomenal and the prices were good. They said pizza is coming soon so looking forward to try that. Will be back next time we come to Fairhaven and Lake Ontario.

The food was absolutely disgusting. Grease actually dripped off of the onion rings; all you could taste was grease. The steak sub I got was horrible. The onions (which were huge and thickly sliced) and mushrooms were barely cooked and the steak was so greasy that it saturated the sub roll so bad that I couldn’t even pick it up to eat it. It had no flavor, except the flavor of grease. I threw it away. The little bit that I did eat caused such indigestion that I was sick the rest of the night. I don’t know how the place stays in business serving “food” like that. It was my first time eating there and, most definitely, my last.

Tried the Philly steak sandwich and fries. So far, the absolute best tasting Philly I’ve tried between Syracuse, Oswego, Fulton, and in between… the bread isn’t soggy, the beef tastes great (not bland or salty), the fries were hot and crispy, the house cab was nice and smooth too! A pleasant atmosphere and humble crowd, the staff is awesome and fun to chit chat with. Be sure to check this menu out! Such a surprise for bar fare… tasty!

It is very quaint. My granddaughter and her husband had their wedding reception there..the food was excellent! Just the right amount of selections that were all very tasty. The hor d’ourves were just as fresh and delicious..plenty of friendly staff who kept themselves very busy setting up and clearing tables. Very clean inside as well as the bathroom. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to hold a gathering. All her guests felt the same way about this establishment!

Salad bar w/homemade soup of the day served with all dinners. Many entrees at reasonable rates. This was our 2nd visit & is fast becoming one of my favorites!!! Had no room for dessert, maybe next time!
