The restaurant is open and has a relaxed atmosphere. We came here for dinner. I ordered the chicken platter. It was really good. The crust on the chicken was delicious. I ordered spicy honey to dip the chicken in and it was amazing. We ordered the keylime pie and split it for us. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. Tanglewood serves quality food amd the staff were very attentive and courteous.

I ordered the ribs and fries. This dinner was absolutely disgusting. The ribs were well overcooked and dry. The fries were over salted. The entire experience was horrible. I told my waitress that the ribs were not good; she simply apologized; that was all. I would have expected someone to come over and discuss with me–especially considering the prices this restaurant charges.

I didn’t eat much of my meal. I will say that the BBQ sauce was good, but far too much on the ribs.

Service was fast. Too fast, which tells me the ribs were just sitting around and well beyond par-cooked, as a good restaurant would do.

I expect better from the signature restaurant at a resort hotel.

We enjoyed the breakfast at the Hyatt Regency the day we had a conference at the resort. My son and I to have breakfast early and it was great. We ordered the Avocado Toast, Omelette and Country Breakfast. The service was fast and the food was great. It’s a bit expensive but overall it’s a very nice breakfast.

We went back for a second time the following day and had a similar experience. Great food and great people!!

Had a really great dinner experience here for my wedding anniversary! I ordered the deviled eggs for an app which was really tasty, great flavors. I had the braised short rib and my husband ordered the alligator jambalaya. We both loved it! For dessert the staff surprised us with a decorated plate helping us celebrate. The dark chocolate bread pudding and cobbler was to die for. Our server, Wilda, was extremely kind and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

First off wicked fast service. Literally, and more to my surprise than yours, took 5 minutes to get our food. The bread basket was nice. Corn bread good. Think dipping oil would have been a nice touch. That may change the vibe from southern to Italian. Now understandably since my meal was short ribs with mashed potatoes (guess would be it was cooking all day)and my husbands was the ribs with fries. Pretty sure we had to wait for the fries. Food was good. Absolutely would order it again…maybe the short ribs could have just used a pinch of salt to elevate the taste but otherwise good. Ribs, they were balanced nicely between sweet & savory. Wouldn’t give it a tile of either but a, right in the middle flavor. Again something spice (rub) related missing but again hubby says he’d order again. Love the outside atmosphere. The sound of the water from the waterfalls was a nice touch. Very clean environment. Friendly service.

I don’t understand the hate for Tanglewood. We went in with low expectations and they were handily exceeded. Burger was juicy and well seasoned. Fried chicken sandwich was well prepared. Both came with fries seasoned with old bay.

Would definitely go again.

Breakfast buffet is great, the omelette station has very fresh ingredients, the croissants are very very good. Coffee is dark and flavorful. They offer water with cucumber or orange, something I haven’t seen at many other breakfast buffets. We also went there for early dinner. For dinner the experience wasn’t as good, it was just okay. The restaurant advertises its gator jambalaya as one of their best and unique dishes, but flavor is really just average of any jambalaya. We were expecting more southern traditional options, like fried chicken, but didn’t see many. Service was okay, nothing memorable. Cleanliness was top notch.

Met a friend here for dinner recently. My wife has gluten allergy and she was catered for very well but that really was the only positive. She asked for honey with her tea but the spoon was forgotten. She was given gluten free bread but no butter, we were told the butter would arrive with the regular bread for our friend and myself, sadly both failed to materialize. I had the ribs, which were luke warm at best and didn’t look particularly appetizing.
Service was slow which is odd as there more people working in the kitchen than there were in the restaurant. I noticed one member of staff just walking around like he was out for a Sunday stroll.
Very disappointing as the hotel itself looks great but we won’t be going back there.

To start, I called in my food order so avoid a room service delivery charge. When I got down to pick it up, I found a 20% room service charge attached to the bill. The hostess told me that it was standard regardless of if you were getting it take out or not. Clearly she was just ripping me off. If you’re gonna charge me a room service charge then at least deliver it to my room.

I got upstairs with my chicken sandwhich and as soon as I picked it up it completely fell apart. I don’t know if it was only half cooked or they just didn’t drain the grease coming out of the fryer but it was a disgusting mess.

If this restaurant took as much pride in their food as the rest of the hotel takes, it could be decent but clearly they don’t and the hostess rips off guests to make a few bucks

Fantastic Dining Experience – Highly Recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of dining here and I have to say, it was a truly delightful experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with just the right blend of elegance and comfort.

The ALLIGATOR JAMBALAYA was a burst of flavor, clearly prepared with passion and attention. Everything was cooked to perfection. The Espresso martini from ALEX @ Mangroves bar was out of this world!

But what truly set this visit apart was the exceptional service. Our server, MYLA was attentive, friendly, and genuinely made me feel welcome. I dined alone, which can be anxiety provoking but she anticipated my needs without being intrusive, made excellent menu recommendations, and ensured my glass was never empty. It’s rare to find a team so dedicated to creating a memorable dining experience.

If you’re looking for a place with great food and service that makes you feel like a valued guest, Tanglewood should be at the top of your list. I can’t wait to return!
