I’ve been tired of all these overly sweet fake French pastry shops popping up and was looking for something more authentic.

I can’t believe I’ve passed by this place a few times and I’ve only just now went in.

The pastries are so amazing! The quality far surpasses the other pastry shops around. If you want a little taste of France without the $$ plane ticket, I would check this place out.

I wanted to try everything in the store, but my tummy can only hold so much, so I’ll have to come back.

Here are my suggested must try:
1. The Paris brest eclair – light and not overly sweet. Perfect with a cup of coffee or black tea

2. Wagyu beef sandwich – simple but delicious

3. Plain croissant – they are super light and fluffy

I took a chocolate croissant to go for the next day and had it with some chai. I had to eat it slowly because I wanted it to last.

The French owner is very friendly and the little pastry shop has a welcoming atmosphere. I got a carmelized croissant and it was very good. Chewy in the center and flaky on the outside. When I go to other places this dessert can be over baked or the caramelization is too thick. But it was perfect at Petit Delice

I had high expectations after reading the reviews, but the croissant was smaller and heavier than I hoped. It was flaky, but in a heavy way, not that light, airy kind I was hoping for. The buttery flavor was nice though. The madeleine, despite looking lopsided, puffed to the side like a tiny flat hill, was actually so good! And the staff was really friendly.

Went to Petit Delice for the first time today and got a salmon quiche, which came with a side salad and some pastries. The crust for the quiche was a perfect thickness and consistency (not too thick and flakey), and the salmon was nicely balanced with the flavors from spinach and cheese. The dressing on the side salad was light and very nice. Every pastry that I tried was so yummy and freshly made. Wonderful service, the owner checked on how I was enjoying the food and was welcoming of feedback. A lovely addition to Rockville and will absolutely visit again soon!

Disappointing, I don’t know about other people palates from the previous reviews but it was the blandest french baked goods I tried.

It should have raised a red flag for me the moment I knew all sandwiches bread are pretzel ones. All sandwiches are premade at the counter display to be heated up. Our quiches were watery inside with a soggy bottom. It’s more like a deli place.

The beverages had a watery milk and the coffee not executed correctly. We asked to eat at the place, and they brought the goods on disposable plates and cups. Service is ok.

The only highlight is that they offer French packed goods like Dammans tea, Emile Vergois juices and other marmalades. Small place, loads of room for improvement.

Newly opened cute homey bake shop with all the essentials.

I would give the salmon quiche a 10/10 as the pastry was not too thick and the filling, absolutely wonderful.

Pistachio cake was light and fluffy. Flavors were perfect.

*Seating is limited as it is a small shop*

Can’t wait to try their other goods.

If you are looking for authentic French pastry, look no further! You can tell the ingredients are sourced from Europe; the croissant are the best in the city. And the quiche is perfect as well. Nichola and Marianne offered wonderful service! You will not be disappointed.

Finally! A pie that you can actually taste the apple instead of just sugar. Canele and palmier are also great. Will definitely come back to get more for family and friends!

A hidden gem! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the smell of fresh coffee and warm pastries. The croissants taste just like Paris, light, airy, and buttery. The staff is kind and attentive, and the whole place has a charming European feel. Definitely worth a visit if you love authentic French treats.
