Was looking for a good philly cheese steak while passing through Wilkes-Barre and, Philly’s Phinest did not disappoint. It was one of the best I’ve ever had. I dined in but this establishment seemed to be known for its takeout. I had a 12 inch, (steak, cheese, onions, peppers and mushrooms) with a side of curly fries. The food was hot and delicious. The meat was cooked to perfection, not dry, and veggies were fresh & tasty. The service was good and staff was very helpful & friendly. Will definitely stop in next time I drive by Wilkes-Barre off I81 and encourage you to if you are looking for a great tasting cheese steak sandwich.

Food was amazing! The Philly steaks are huge. We were in town on business from Cincinnati Ohio. Sure glad we chose this place to stop and eat. Nice friendly family-owned restaurant. Quality and quantity of the food surpassed are expectations. Very reasonable pricing.

I ordered a dozen wings with extra sauce and a small pie, simple enough? Mmmmm okay! I got the wings with literally the wings dipped in sauce and thrown in the container so I called said I ordered saucy wings and didn’t get any sauce trying to be as polite as possible because although it was there fault I don’t know what people have going on to just be rude about not getting stupid sauce anyways they offer to remake the wings which they didn’t have to they could have slapped more sauce on them and handed them back. I get the wings home and the whole container is now flooded with sauce (see picture) and not to mention me trying to thank the manager and apologize for the inconvenience and him just hanging up the phone after saying he’ll remake them

Location easy to get to. People who worked there were Philly nice. The atmosphere was 1970s Philly, geared toward Rocky. They missed a lot of opportunities about Philly finest. The menu looked interesting. We didn’t taste they food. They were out of soup even though it was on the menu.

Ordered from here last night ( 11/8/25 ) first time ordering from here & probably the last! Saw them advertised as the Best Cheesesteak, so we had to try it. I came from Scranton, 40 minute drive to this establishment, we got 2 hoagies, the monster Italian & the monster steak & cheese, the cheesesteak was mediocre at best, how they have been voted the best is beyond me? The Italian, wow, cheap lunch meat that really mealy & the oregano was way too much, portion size on both was generous, I’ll say that. Next got 2 orders of wings, mild & garlic parm, about the same, mediocre, they were crispy , wings were a good size. Corn nuggets, hard to screw these up, chicken fingers, again hard to screw up & got an order of fried veggies, again I thought, hard to screw up, WRONG! One side was burned to a crisp & the other side was RAW! How is that even possible, if someone could explain that to me, I would appreciate it All in all, probably will not be coming back to here, I also got a tray of pizza, that was the star of the show, out of 10, I’d say it was a solid 7. For me,it just didn’t live up to.the hype, maybe folks in Wilkes-Barre never had another cheesesteak, that definitely was not the best, not even close . I didn’t dine in, got take out, spent $95 & was totally disappointed, me personally I would not or will not recommend this place . The pizza wasn’t bad but I’m not driving 40 minutes for a tray of pizza .

This was my first time ordering from here AND IT DEFINITELY WOULD BE MY LAST TIME I ORDERED A LARGE CHICKEN STEAK STROMBOLI THAT WASNT EVEN A LARGE A LARGE CHICKEN PIZZA FOR MY KIDS when I say everything was horrible it was horrible the teste an how it look was just horrible never ever will I order from here again YOU CAN NOT CALL YOURSELF PHILLY’S PHINEST AND YOU NOT EVEN USING REAL MEAT I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THAT WAS BUT IT WASNT CHICKEN OR CHICKENSTEAK DEFINITELY WAS A WASTE OF MY MONEY

Cheesesteaks are usually pretty good! One thing I’ll say is the add ins to the steak are never really “added in” it’s like one bite is a glob of mayonnaise and the next bite has no mayo and it’s all the mushrooms, ask for no onions, but you can taste the caramelized onions, ask for no peppers, there’s an uncooked green pepper in the middle of the cheesesteaks. otherwise, it’s good for some quick food

Ordered a chicken wing hoagie add bacon/ onions and I must say that this is the soggiest I’ve ever had. It was falling apart and it actually made the outer foil rip open from the wetness. Did not expect all this sauce…thought maybe they’d toss the chicken with the sauce not pour it on top like it seems. The hoagie was delicious though I must add. Not gonna lie, I’ll still order from here.
