On Friday, January 2, around 7:45 a.m., I had a very disappointing experience at the Einstein Bros. Bagels in South Miami, FL. Despite light customer traffic, I was not greeted or acknowledged. When I placed a simple order, the employee’s tone was curt and unprofessional.
The employee—later identified by another staff member as the manager—walked away during the transaction, refused to provide her name, and referred to me as a “problem customer” within earshot. I was treated noticeably differently than other customers. I also have a photo of the employee making an obscene hand gesture, which I referenced in my communications with the company.
I contacted corporate through multiple email addresses and sent two certified letters. More than two weeks later, I have received no response. If documented behavior like this does not prompt follow-up, it is difficult to have confidence in management or accountability.
Customer service matters. I will not return and cannot recommend this location.
Staff interaction was rude and unwelcoming. I paid for an add-on item that was not provided, and when I politely raised the issue, I was met with a dismissive response rather than a resolution. No apology or attempt to correct the mistake was offered.
After reviewing feedback from other customers posted approximately a month ago describing similar issues, including rude behavior and lack of management response. It appears this is a recurring problem rather than an isolated incident.
In my opinion, the business benefits primarily from its location. In a less favorable area, service at this level would likely not be sustainable.
I would recommend considering alternative nearby options such as El Bagel or Toasted Bagel for a more professional experience.
P.S. the attached photo is what they stated is the extra cream cheese or lack thereof.
It’s disappointing that, in a location where the product is genuinely good, the customer service falls so far below expectations. One of the cashiers spends a lot of time on her phone, speaks to customers in a rude and unpleasant manner, doesn’t greet anyone, and doesn’t even say thank you after a purchase.
Sadly, people like this still exist – but what’s even more disappointing is that this establishment seems to take no action against these employees, even after other customers have reported similar experiences.
Maybe I don’t make much of a difference, but they’ve definitely lost me as a customer.
And anyone who asks me about this place will hear about my experience, because I absolutely do not recommend going there.

The rest of the team is fantastic as well. No matter how busy it gets, everyone works together with a smile, and you can feel the positive atmosphere the moment you walk in. My order is always fresh, fast, and exactly right.
If you’re looking for great service, great food, and a great way to kick off your morning, this is the spot. Could not recommend it more!
