Absolutely delicious seafood in Hobart!

Pearl + Co is a fantastic seafood restaurant in Hobart. The seafood was incredibly fresh and full of flavour — the oysters were especially lovely and an absolute highlight. There are so many great options on the menu, and everything we tried was delicious.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and it’s no surprise we’re going back again tonight for New Year’s Eve dinner!

Just a tip for first-timers: the entry is a little hidden inside the building — turn right, follow the green hallway, and look for the sign. It’s well worth finding.

Highly recommend Pearl + Co if you’re looking for amazing seafood and oysters in Hobart.

HONESTLY THE BEST SEAFOOD I HAVE EVER HAD! AMAZING ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You must go!

My partner and I were absolutely blown away with the entire experience here. The food was one of the best meals and the best seafood meal my partner and I have ever eaten.

I have a garlic, onion and gluten allergy (lowfodmap) and I was completely looked after.

We shared the oysters with capers and gf calamari (they made me a beautiful salad with it), for main my partner had the Miso Glazed Premium Fish and I had the Wild Fish….. NO WORDS!!!!!!! it was utterly amazing nothing like I’ve ever tasted the flavours on the plate blew us away.

For desert I had the chia and my partner had cheese board and I had a mocktail.

I really cannot emphasis enough how magical and special this dinner and experience were. The staff were exceptional and the vibe was beautiful and romantic. 10/10 AGRADE RESTAURANT.

DONT WALK… RUN TO THIS PLACE!! ❤️ Truely special.

If you happen to be at the Hobart waterfront and are looking for a good place for dinner, I could highly recommend Pearl & Co. I enjoyed this oyster bar and seafood restaurant so much I went there three nights in a row. During those three days I sampled the salads, roasted carrots, roasted brussels sprouts, pan-seared scallops, market wild fish of the day and a few other items. Everything was very well prepared and absolutely delicious. Most importantly, it was fresh! You can tell when something is fresh and when it’s not, and everything I was served was fresh. Combine that with a great view of the Hobart waterfront and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

If you go, just make sure you are at the right place. Pearl & Co. occupies a small corner of a much larger building called Mures Fish Centre which has other restaurants. Every night I went there I had no reservation, but had no trouble getting a seat on the outside terrace. But if you are planning indoor dining, it may be an idea to get a reservation as the place always seemed to be full.

We had the scallops and the seafood platter. The scallops were great, but it was not on the menu that they had bacon throughout. ☹️ I would not recommend the platter. Just get more fresh oysters… save yourself from more average fried food. Eating outside is nice in the wharf setting. The night we went they were noticeably short staffed too.

Need spot tucked dried into the dock with a great view of all of the ships, the bay, the cruise ships, and some of the iconic colonial buildings that are mentioned in all of the historical documents that are highlighted for the town of Hobart. Is plenty of oyster selections to choose from including natural Tasmanian, seaweed, candied lemon, pink hibiscus, chamomile freeze, fire and ice, soft herbal salsa, sea urchin, and pearls, and cucumber gin fizz.. I can’t tell you what all those tasted like because I’ve only ordered the pink hibiscus which is pretty basic. Staff is super friendly and extremely attentive and you really just can’t beat the view. This restaurant is 105 that suits inside of a complex that specializes in seafood apparently. This area of south Tasmania is known for really fresh high-quality seafood and so that is why I came to check it out. I highly recommend anybody else looking for the same who happens to be in Hobart to check this place out and give it a swing. I only have time for an appetizer cause I’m planning on checking on all the other places around here, too. Old boat is a really small town so you’re essentially here the minute you get off of the boat or enter town, lots to see and do- I’m off !

On 30, December, I had tried to find a nice sea food restaurant in this area, and there are many options. Finally I chose it, because the restaurant looked nice and guests seemed to enjoy happiness of food and year-end atmosphere ~
Finally I was RIGHT!
My family had a fantastic dinner at this restaurant on 30, Dec. We ordered 2 kids menu and 2 course for my couple.
Especially oysters and grilled fish!

Had a great long lunch on New Years Eve with friends.
Farmed abalone was very tender, but probably lacks a bit of flavour. Maybe an option of local, wild caught would be a great addition to the menu.
Good wine list and enjoyed the Tasmania options.
Had an inside table which was perfect due to the weather, and some pretty friendly seagulls outside.
Would definitely drop in again when visiting next.

Had a great experience at Pear+Co.

Excellent variety of seafood — the Tasmanian oysters were very fresh and delicious, and the abalone was cooked beautifully. The food quality was outstanding overall.

Service was friendly and professional, and the location is fantastic, especially if you’re exploring Hobart.

Highly recommended if you’re in Hobart and enjoy great seafood.

Hands down the best oysters one can get in Australia.

We ordered the plain oysters and they were so plump, briny, and perfect. It also went really well with their berry berry cocktail—a sloe gin based cocktail.

The restaurant is also by the port and we took the patio seating, so the accompanying view was amazing as we enjoyed our oysters.

If you ever get the chance to go to Hobart make sure to stop by here to get their oysters
