Today we did Taste of India for lunch. The food was very good. A hot spicy meal on a cold snowy day can’t be beat. The parking lot still had mounds of snow and the snow removal crew near by. Lots of seating and got served quickly.

I’ve had better. The lamb tikka masala the sauce was good but the lamb was tough and did not taste great the same with the 911 goat it was too hard to chew. I also ordered 2 drinks and never got them they literally ignored the order to not make them. We got there at around 8:40ish and they didn’t want to make our drinks. There are better options around I don’t recommend this sorry there is totally better restaurants than this one. I really had high expectations but it was disappointing.

Simple, a plate of rice, vegetables, that’s it, there was nothing else. Please explain to these people that business is not like that. For business, you need some good information. In New York, for $25-$26, you can eat two meals a day, and you can eat very good food. You can eat chicken biryani, you can eat mutton biryani for $15-$16. And here, for $25-$26, with tax, they have given me a vegetable biryani, in which there is raw rice, and my stomach also hurts.

Ordered take out from Taste of India for the first time last night, and it was/is so delicious! I say is because I am still eating my leftovers. The portions are huge, enough to make three meals out of. I got butter chicken, plain naan, an order of vegetable samosas (massive!), and mango lassi. Everything was delicious, fresh, and great quality! The employees were super kind during pick up. I can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been here a few times, takeout only, and the food has always been delicious! I can tell it’s of much better quality compared to other local Indian restaurants and the flavors are very authentic. My only criticism is that the entrees sometimes have too much sauce/too little meat or protein but other than that everything else is perfect. Will definitely be ordering from here more often!

It was our first time here, but not our last. Food was delicious. We had Naan, Butter Chicken and Chicken Vindaloo. Asked for medium and it wasn’t spicy at all so next time we’ll ask for a bit more. Because there will be a next time! Huge portions and leftovers were just as good.

My sister and I went to this restaurant a few months ago. We had the butter chicken with some garlic naan. We also had some gulab jamun. It was an amazing meal. We practically licked our plates clean. We now talk about going back all the time. When I come back from Colorado, you can bet I’ll be on by for some delicious food. The server was so kind and attentive. This food and place is for the soul.

Every time we get food from here it has been consistent and spectacular each time! Only one time when we ordered online there was a delay on the restaurant receiving the notification and when I arrived they cooked up our food in no time and was generous enough to give me a free mango smoothie which was delicious while I waited. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended

I introduced my partner to Indian food a few years ago now and she loves it as much as yours truly.

Luckily I grew up eating Indian food, and like to call myself a bit of a curry nerd (well not the nerd bit, but you catch my drift).

I’ve probably had most Indian foods available, and although I’ve never been a fan of Lamb, or even fish in curries, I do really really like most of the rest of the foods they offer.

This place is probably one of the best or thee best Indian restaurant I have been to in the last few years. The staff are very polite, helpful, attentive and well just great.
The food is excellent. Cooked to perfection and I cannot fault it one bit.

I do not know if they serve alcoholic drinks here like some Indian restaurants do as I’ve only been here during the daytime unfortunately, and tend not to drink in the day, or I’ll be completely plastered by early evening. (Indian beer is pretty good too, not like the American or some European beers out there that take like a drink that’s come from the genitals), I like the stuff, Cobra and Kingfisher being rather tasty.

Anyway, the food, all of it I have had here is an easy 5 out of 5.

The poppadoms, – These are compulsory before any Indian meal, you have to order these first, usually to share (although I don’t like sharing my food, unless it’s poisonous), but here you’re safe, it’s really good.
Yes poppadoms are compulsory, if you haven’t had them before, try them. They’re great.

The bread, now this is down to taste, (like everything really), some people like garlic, (makes some peoples breath even better, plus it scares away vampires too),

Ignore me now, I’m going on with myself. I’ll get straight to the point.

The garlic nan bread is good, the Peshwari nan bread in my opinion is the best, it’s sweet, and just well good. Your tastes may differ though, but this one is a must.
I always use it to mop up the curry during the meal then save a bit to mop up the plate at the end, because as much as I’d like too, I don’t think liking the plates clean in a restaurant would go down very well with my street cred.

The rice, not too dry, not too wet. Just spot on. Can’t go wrong with the way they cook this.

The drinks, I’ve only had soft drinks here (soda and the like) so can’t comment really, except they are served ice cold which is good.

Service – perfect.

Cleanliness – perfect

Parking – right outside the door, can’t complain.

Food, – read the above – it’s an easy 5 out of 5.

Note, this is a family business and they do not treat you like ‘just another customer’ waiting to be fed, like people coming along on a cattle truck, (like some of the chain restaurants do). At this restaurant they treat you very well and I cannot recommend them enough.

If you like Indian food, then visit.
If you have never tried Indian food then try it.
If you don’t like Indian food, then well nobody’s perfect.

As I write this I’m enjoying my leftovers from Taste of India. You know it’s some good eats when the leftovers are almost just as delicious! We eat a lot of Indian cuisine & this restaurant rated high for us with its deep flavors, fresh spices, & rich textures. Their menu boasts of some interesting Indo-Chinese recipes, and we were hoping for something we’ve never tasted before. Though nothing was totally new to us, we still very much enjoyed all the dishes we tried. The Special 65, paneer shashlik, kulcha & naan, & the shahi paneer & everything else was delicious!
