Hidden gem alert in Tamarac/ Fort Lauderdale Area!
We found Mannino’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria after reading reviews and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The owner himself ended up being our server, and you can immediately tell how much pride he takes in his restaurant and the food.
The meal was outstanding – authentic Italian, fresh, and clearly homemade. Everything tasted incredible from the lasagna to eggplant parmigiana and those rolls are to die for! This reminded us of the kind of small family restaurants you hope to stumble across but rarely do nowadays.
What really made the experience special was the hospitality. The owner personally thanked us for our patience, (short wait time) and accommodated our luggage, refused to accept a tip, and even brought us a complimentary cannoli. That level of kindness and appreciation for customers is rare these days.
If you’re in the Tamarac / Fort Lauderdale area and want authentic Italian food, Mannino’s is a must visit. We’ll absolutely be back!!!

The cheese pizza was perfectly done with a crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and melty cheese. The pepperoni had great crisp edges and added a smoky, savory bite. this place is our favorite. we drive from north Lauderdale, passing 5 different spots just to make it here because the drive is worth it. best pizza in broward!! wings are good as hell, my wife loves the italian combo sub. the italian cheesecake is homemade and delicious. Excellent service from the staff. We arrived at night, almost at closing time, and we ordered a half pepperoni and half cheese pizza, and spaghetti. Everything had exceptional quality—simply perfect. We loved the flavor, presentation, and freshness of the food. The human quality of the staff is unmatched. It is a place I would definitely return to. My spouse and I ordered to-go an extra large (18”) pizza with pepperoni, onions and green peppers and medium garden salad. It was all delicious. Not sure what oil or cheese they use, but you may have to soak up some of the oil before consuming the pizza. Their interior dining area looked nice, too.

The aroma of the pizza transported me instantly to my childhood. and I was reminded of the best pizzerias in NYC. The crust was perfectly crisp, and the cheese was fresh and flavorful, creating a wonderful combination of tastes. I appreciated the warm welcome and the excellent service I experienced during my visit. This pizza place is absolutely a must-try for anyone who appreciates authentic, delicious pizza. Stopped by Mannino’s this evening. Ordered two pizzas. The staff was kind, the restaurant was clean, and the pizzas were perfect. The owner heard me mention my son was sick, again, and he gave me some chicken soup to take home. The soup was also delicious and extremely hardy. Thank you for the great food and the act of kindness. We will be back for sure.
