We dined at Solita with my family and were seated right away, which was a great start. However, the experience quickly declined. My husband has a severe, anaphylactic allergy to avocado, and we clearly informed our waiter. Despite this, his meal was brought out with avocado on it, which was very concerning.
Additionally, my side salad was wilted and not fresh. After eating, our stomachs felt uncomfortable, which added to the disappointment. There was also a discrepancy on our bill, though the waiter did correct it when we pointed it out.
Overall, while the service issue with the bill was resolved, the lack of attention to a serious food allergy and food quality left us uneasy.

I had an excellent time at Solita Tacos. This is my second time back. As soon as I walked in. The crew greeted me with a big Hello and a Welcome. The art direction is very family oriented and authentic. I went the chips, guacamole and spicy shrimp taco. The salsa for the chips and unique chip wheels was delicious. The Guacamole was full of flavor, onions tomatoes and cilantro.
What stands out here is the Shrimp taco with a house special salsa that was incredible. The dish came with two other salsas. A mild green and a more potent red. I alternated salsas with each bite of the shrimp taco. They were both really good. I used the chips to finish the salsa because it was full of flavor.
The parking is plentiful and the location is 5 minutes away from the freeway. Solita Tacos is going to get more visits from me.

My experience at Solita Tacos & Margaritas was hit and miss unfortunately. There is ample parking in this outdoor mall, but be prepared to park further away during busier times given the concentrated number of businesses. A live DJ mixed music on the patio that blasted throughout the restaurant (too loud for conversation), making this a party spot for a drink with friends. They offer happy hour and late night specials on weeknights too. The hostess forgot to give me a napkin and utensils, but the service was otherwise great.
My food came out quickly and I could tell everything was freshly prepared. The chips were hot from the fryer, but not too salty or greasy. I loved the three salsa options because they all had a different flavor and spice level. The regular salsa had a nice tomato flavor and the spiciest was deliciously smoky, but my favorite was by far the mild-spicy green salsa with an incredible balanced flavor! The Guacamole Solita on the other hand wasn’t very good unfortunately. The chunks of avocado were way too big, almost like a whole avocado was quartered then added to a mash, preventing you from picking up anything with a chip. It lacked enough acidity, was too salty, the mango was underripe and the raw onions on top were overwhelmingly spicy, causing a lot of gastro discomfort.
The Vampiro Taco was out of this world good, though very heavy and large in size. I loved the double corn tortilla with cheese and serranos in between, and the carne asada was delicious, though the same spicy onions were too intense here as well. Lastly I tried the Shrimp Chicharon Taco and was very disappointed for two reasons: 1. I was expecting freshly fried pieces of chicharon with bits of both meat and fat, not stale pork rinds out of the bag; 2. The size of the chips were so big that it was impossible to eat it in the taco. The shrimp was well cooked and I enjoyed the slight sweetness in the sauce, but I was not a fan of this taco.

5-star experience! The service was top-notch, thanks to Brandon who was attentive and friendly throughout our meal. The food was absolutely delicious and fresh – every bite was a delight! The drinks were awesome too!
A big shoutout to Manager Maria for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. She checked in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this spot for great food, drinks, and exceptional service!

Not your traditional Mexican food. I’d say it’s more of texmex. The restaurant itself is nice. Gives a romantic vibe if you dine inside. The chairs are awkward that sit you deep. The chips and salsa were the best part of the food. The rest of the food had a strange taste. We ordered nachos with steak and it had that weird spice tastes. I had a salad with shrimp and it was ok but not worth the price or trying again. My son got the lazy enchiladas. My son is not picky with food but couldn’t stand them. He didn’t like the red sauce. I tried them and the texture of the tortilla was mushy and tasted uncooked. The sauce was gross. The steak in his enchiladas were weirdly chopped. I thought the meat would’ve been shredded. Our waitress Diana was the best. She was very attentive and polite. The only downside was the food.

It was moody and romantic, and the manager even said if we came in and felt like a more jazzy vibe to just let him know and he’d change the music! What service! Our server Crystal went above and beyond, with smiling faces from all the staff and they remembering the handful of extras we requested and brought them promptly. We felt so welcome and pampered and the food was delicious and came out in no time at all.
Will be returning soon to order the ribs again!

This restaurant is a definitely must try.. I’ve visited this place 4 times and I must say that I love it. The food is good and when I tell the associates surprise me on the tacos. I definitely do get surprised. I ordered 4 tacos which were grilled chicken, shrimp, and carnitas. The shrimp taco was my absolute favorite. If you like sauce like me, definitely do the shrimp taco. I ordered the corn and too my surprise, I got the whole thing. They were able to cut it in front of me. It goes to show that the quality is fresh. Not like some other restaurants where it came from a can. I highly recommend this place to try out. Thank you Marie and Lulu for your excellent service.
