Great little Mexican restaurant located downtown. I showed up around 2pm and the place was mostly deserted, but my waiter was friendly, the food quickly made, and very delicious! Would definitely go back again!

This was our first visit to Don Pablo’s. It’s not going to be our last. Fergus Falls is a smaller city about an hour from Fargo, ND. This is worth a trip. It’s located downtown Fergus.
1st impression on walking in is very pleasant. Very colorful, very charming. We were greeting with a smiling young guy, he referred to himself as Nacho. He got us seated at a booth, and handed us menus and got our drink order. When he came back, my wife said; “I’ve got a question.” Without hesitation, he said: “I’ve got the answer!” And he did.
I order the seafood enchilada off the lunch menu, and it was nothing short of great. No shortage of shrimp or sauce. It was served with beans (excellent) and rice. For a lunch item, it was more than enough food.
My wife ordered a shredded beef chimichanga, of which I had a bit, and the meat was delicious. She’s a lighter eater, so she had some left over for later.
Nacho was there often enough to fill my drink, but he wasn’t overly intrusive.
When we were done, he asked us if we wanted desert, but we were both full, and said no. He said his mother had made a dessert, and he wanted us to try it, No charge. We were about to say no, we were really full, but he plopped down this amazing looking cake and strawberry thing that we just had to try. I normally never eat desserts, but this also was amazing.
As a final gesture, he held up the tab and said if we could guess it to the penny, it was on him. I guessed high on purpose, I didn’t want to have him pay for an amazing meal, which already seemed reasonable, and he had, after all, comped us a great dessert.
We chatted with him about the history of the restaurant and his family. It was a nice experience.
All in all, 5 stars all the way around.

This has been a favorite go to restaurant for years. Last night we dropped in while visiting the area and they did not disappoint. The salsa is fresh and has a good bite with the right amount of cilantro. Prices have gone up every where, but the amount of food served here is too much for one sitting. Our server is visiting from Texas for the summer to help out his family and was very attentive. Food comes to the table hot. Stop by if you get a chance.

Nice smiling staff. Fast lunch service. Large portions. Special request I added to my entree was managed well. Atmosphere was good. Authentic Mexican dishes offering a surprisingly large menu selection, (with lunch specials also). Very worth the visit for me today. Enjoy local downtown!

Tonight was my first time coming to this restaurant in Fergus Falls MN. Being from the south I thought I knew what good Mexican food taste like,but this restaurant’s food is unbelievable good. Teresa took care of us along with the wait staff. Everyone was cordial. We will definitely be back!!

The food is truly amazing and the space is bright and colorful. My three-star rating is specific to the service as I didn’t appreciate the whole “guess your bill amount” from the server we had. Using the dollar amount of bill as a game of chance is ridiculous. I don’t know about anyone else, but I personally like to know what I am exactly paying for and not “guessing”.

Food was excellent! Wife and I shared the molcajete for two for about $35. Staff was friendly, often had two waiters checking on us throughout our visit. Very tentative. We’ll go back if in the Fergus Falls area again.

09/21/2021 was my first time ever going into Don Pablo’s, and I definitely recommend eating here. Since it was my first time there, the waiter, Nacho, was very kind and helpful with recommending me an item off of their menu. I chose the Don Pablo’s Burrito, with chicken in the burrito (shown below).
Being honest, that was the best burrito that I ever had. The consistency of beans, chicken, and other ingredients in the burrito was perfect for my liking, so complements to the chef. Other than the amazing meal, the atmosphere inside the restaurant really captures Mexican culture.
I will be back at Don Pablo’s again soon.

This is a long-standing, family-owned establishment about which many people have spoken favorably, so naturally, I had to visit. The atmosphere is cramped and has the same sort of vibe as a dive bar, which I happen to enjoy, but may not be for everyone. Sadly, the food was mid at best. The chicken in my burrito was dry, which was quite striking to me. The tortilla chips were stale and the salsa was nothing to call home about. Overall, I was not impressed and have not returned.
