I just absolutely adore this restaurant. We went on a random Wednesday night toward the middle of June. They had musical bingo inside which seemed so fun. However, my partner and I chose to sit outside because the weather was beautiful. Shockingly, we were the only ones out there. They turned on the beautiful Edison bulbs under the canopy for us. The staff was VERY attentive, in the best way. They gave us our private time while checking in on us everytime we needed it. We loved our server. I feel terrible I can’t remember her name. I think it was Brit maybe. She was delightful. Upon a completely normal mistake—we were double charged for a pizza. (A delicious and spectacular pizza called the pig and fig! I even offered for them to make me another, but also expressed I understood if the kitchen was closed and it was bc we were there very late) They of course started the refund process. A partial owner, a cook, our server, and another very attentive woman came out to greet us and make it right while they were in the midst of a closing rush.Very kind and sociable—all of them. The food here is DELICIOUS. The best I’ve had in New Bedford—and I’ve been around! And SO reasonably priced for the amazing quality. They fulfilled my request to have both fried shrimp and cod with chips/fries. Beautifully seasoned and battered. It was stellar! Filled to the brim with shrimp and a huge piece of cod for $32!!! I thought it was amazing. Especially because I’ve seen much skimpier fried seafood plates in the area. I WILL be back for the pizza and the fish and shrimp platter. And I can’t wait to try more! I’ve had their Mac and cheese and pork nachos in the past and they were both amazing as well. The cookie skillet was DELICIOUS. I will have to try every dessert. Drinks are strong and balanced as well. Definitely a well crafted menu all around. Just a great experience every time. Time and time again I will be back! Thank you to this fabulous restaurant and the amazing staff!!

Update for 2024: Been back a few times and the food and service has been great. My original review was probably just a hiccup.

2020: Came here for the first time with my elderly mom on a Sunday for a late lunch. We parked in a handicap spot near the front entrance and walked up the handicap ramp and into the front door.

We walked into an beautiful empty dining room. There were a few folks at the bar and a few bartenders but no host to be seen. The bartenders didn’t pay much attention to us standing there waiting, so after a few minutes of waiting I approached the bar to ask if we needed to sit ourselves. My mom has a hard time walking and standing and I was frustrated that the handicap parking spots and entrance are at the front of the building, but when you walk in there’s no where for people to sit while they wait.

The bartender was very friendly, but she literally said “we really don’t pay attention to the front door.” So apparently there is a back entrance, which we didn’t know since it was our first time. So what about handicap customers?

After we sat ourselves in the empty dining room a server came over and brought bread with olive oil + Parmesan, which was good, but the mixture had an extreme amount of pepper. Mom ordered fish and chips and I ordered the chicken salad wrap which was on the menu.

After a fairly short wait he delivered the food, but my order was wrong – he brought a buffalo chicken wrap over. No big deal, but I sent it back. The replacement took a little while to come out, and honestly I should have kept the buff chic. The “chicken salad” wrap I got was literally just a flour tortilla with grilled chicken, mayo, and iceberg lettuce. Super bland. The fries were good though.

Overall, the interior of the restaurant was beautiful, but service and food quality was nothing impressive. However, the staff was indeed friendly.

The clam chowder and chili were delicious. My husband got the seafood platter and I got fish and chips. Neither of us cared for the batter that was used. It had an over powering oregano/ parsley flavor.
The service was fair.
When our apps were delivered, we were told our platters were also ready and she asked if we’d like them at the same time.
We said yes, then waited almost 15 minutes for them to be brought to the table.
The food wasn’t terrible, it was just prepared differently from what we’re used to, seasoning wise,in the batter.
We plan to try another visit to try the burgers and steak, because others have said they were delicious.

Made a return trip and went with the creamy Mozambique to see if its changed. I get both chicken and Shrimp. Thought it was good, but possibly not as good as I remember it being. In the past Ive had several pizzas including the Hawaiian BBQ Pizza and New Bedford Pizza. All were decent, not bad, just not blown away. Step above dominos. The Chicken and Shrimp Mozambique dish was one of my favorites. Very unique dish, its creamy and unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Pub 6T5 nachos were previously good and so was the Breakfast pizza. Wife had an expresso Martini and loved it.

1st time back since the pandemic and our party of 4 had a great experience. The restaurant appeared to be very clean and our waitress was attentive and quick to offer a suggestion when asked. The barmaid made me a “not on the menu” Black & Tan (cider & Guinness, don’t knock it till u try it ). Everything from the calamari appetizer to pizza, salmon, shrimp tacos and steak were cooked perfectly! Needless to say, we’ll be back soon! On our way out, a gentleman (assuming he was the owner) left his seat to ask how our visit was which I found to be very classy and professional on his part

Keep up the great work 6T5 !!!

*Side Note: their currently in the process of building an outdoor dining patio, can’t wait!

Brunch was great! We sat outside. Large space with a tent covering. The cereal martini flight is why I went! Yummy, but not super strong. Definitely a fun menu item! The chicken and waffles were delicious and the Buffalo chicken pizza was also pretty good. It didn’t come with the drizzle of ranch on top we added that! @amp_eats (instagram and Facebook)

Really good bread and oil. The pizza was good. The chicken parmesan was excellent and an enormous portion of chick for the price. Awesome value. Overall very reasonable prices for the quality and portion size.

Very cool ambiance. The ceiling is very interesting and original to the building. Cornbread was good but only 2 slices. Could have a bigger selection of beer. Very happy with our experience tonight we will come back again. They have Keno and live music as well

I came this evening to see a band and enjoy dinner. Incredibly lovely staff. I was greeted at the door, and was given a spot in the middle area of the restaurant immediately. Very clean tables. Cute bottle flower decor. And the chairs were actually pretty comfortable.

The waitress who took my name was very sweet and was punctual with my order. There was absolutely no mistakes with the food and it tasted fantastic. The only reason the food gets 4 stars is because, though it was delicious, it was definitely a little pricey. But hey, what isn’t nowadays?

I really enjoyed my evening and I plan on coming back. Thanks!

Horrible!! I ordered the “Teriaki glazed Chilean salmon with mashed sweet potatoes and steamed broccoli” (as the menu stated) and got regular mashed potatoes and burnt broccoli with the teriyaki salmon on top of the potatoes, which I do not like teriyaki sauce on potatoes.(See photo)So much more to the story of my meal but let’s move on to my mom’s birthday dinner. She ordered “broiled scallops topped with seasoned bread crumbs” but got a casserole dish with just scallops that were still completely white and NO topping at all. Sent it back and told the waitress that these were supposed to be broiled with breadcrumbs. They looked like they were cooked in a microwave. They came back with a pinch of breadcrumbs that looked like they were fresh from the “container” not browned, just tossed on top like a dash of salt. (See photo) Never the less, it was my moms 83rd birthday. Not the dinner we were expecting for sure!!!

I am giving this 3 stars because the last time that we ate there, the food was good. However, we tried to meet a group that was already there for a drink on a Friday night. The four of us walked in and were immediately frisked and bags searched. Then they wanted $10/cover for the men but the ladies were free. Are we in Providence or Boston or the north end of New Bedford? Why would a restaurant want to turn it into a club at night? Once we got in, the place was empty. There were maybe 25-30 people there and only a few on the dance floor. The dj was playing good music!

When the previous owner had bands the place was mobbed and there was no cover charge. I think they are making a bad business decision…let people in for free and make the money up at the bar. Your staff will be busy and get tips instead of 3 bartenders standing around on a Friday night!
