Stopped in for a take out order. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the burger was. I ordered just a hamburger and fries, my husband ordered the Commander with fries. Both had a great flavor and were a decent size along with a good serving of fries. Our fries and onion rings were a tad under cooked. But still ok.
While I waited for our order, I sat and listen by the live band. Very nice place.

The pizza was so great, we had buffalo nachos on kettle chips, and a huge order of fries. My son got chicken finger appetizer, which he loved. The only thing I didn’t really like was the size of their beers. They were very small. The food was great though.

Located right by the entrance to Breezy Point resort, this casual restaurant serves everything from burgers and comfort food to prime rib, steak, and walleye. I would recommend the steak over the prime rib as the prime rib appears to be reheated rather than fresh cut causing unpredictable results on how well done your prime rib may be. I strongly recommend their au gratin potatoes which are more like cheesy hashbrowns. Their beer-battered onion rings are fresh and a great starter for any meal.
Dress code is casual. Service is outstanding. Seat yourself and someone will be with you in no time.

Clearly the worst meal I have had in a long time. The $20 ground steak was clearly two frozen patties pressed together and cooked to the level of a hockey puck. The frozen mushy vegetables that came on the side totaled a 1/5 of a cup. The salad was fresh and the fries were crispy, though tasted like Fish. Terrible experience.

Well first it was our classes 45th reunion & we had an awesome waitress who was very sweet, she did an excellent job, I can’t remember her name we all had an amazing evening, I ordered a garbage pizza to go as a reminisce of years gone by, it was so worth it.

I had a FRICKIN blast! There was live music and it was actually GOOD! People were out dancing and having a GREAT time! There were plenty people to talk to and I didn’t meet one person who didn’t smile back and engage in conversation if I initiated it. I had a taco salad and it was a hit! I enjoyed it very much and I would go back and eat again for sure, staff was incredibly attentive and upbeat, quick on their feet and very helpful to our group. The bar itself is spacious enough to have small groups of people standing and chatting without it stopping others from walking around. Nice place, really. I have been there twice now and both times I had a great time with my friends I accompanied as a designated driver… hope this describes to you the commander and jj’s without laying it on too thick

I don’t usually leave reviews, but Brittany absolutely deserves one! From the moment we sat down, she was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. She had great recommendations, kept our drinks full without us even asking, and made the whole experience feel effortless. You can tell she genuinely cares about her customers. If you go to this restaurant, ask for Brittany—she’s the best!

I had a great time seeing Bluehound there, and enjoyed the food. I drove a long trip there specifically to see the band. I was sad to see the sign on arrival advertising a different band, but upon entry I was relieved to see Bluehound set up to play. I don’t think the Commander did very much to promote the show, as the crowd was very, very small. The music was fantastic, and I will be back again if they return, hopefully to a bigger crowd. They definitely bring talent to the stage!
