We’ve been looking for a good breakfast place near our weekend get away place at the lake. We’ve tried several places around Hastings and Delton. We haven’t been overly impressed. We decided to make a little longer drive to Middleville and the Thornapple Kitchen made it worth the drive. Reasonably priced, good portion sizes and really good food without all of the grease. We’ve found our go to breakfast restaurant.

We were pleasantly surprised! We stopped in for breakfast. The French toast was amazing!! This was a hearty breakfast and worth the stop in. It was slightly busy but the server kept up. We purchased cookies to go amd they were delicious as well. Definitely give them a try!

The manager on shift was talking down to a waitress right infront of us at breakfast. I will not be returning because of it! There is a right and wrong way to talk to others and what we witnessed is something I’d consider gross behavior. I absolutely loved my waitress Kim I think her name was. Despite the manager Kim made the place warm, so sweet and worth finishing our meal. If we ever came back it would only be to see Kim!

I would put -5 stars. The service is bad they need more training. I dinned in with a friend and they got our orders wrong, brought the toast when I was already done eating. I also ordered French toast to go and they had that wrong also. I called and Cody said he’d do a complimentary breakfast the next day due to them being closed by the time I would get off work.I arrived and the Owner didn’t honor it. She also was very rude and degrading. She was loud and disrespectful. I was very disappointed and won’t be back here and I’m letting all my coworkers from Bradford white to avoid this place.

We’ve always liked TK kitchen, but now we LOVE it! The food is always so good (we love the locally sourced items), and the new(ish) owner is great! The staff is always friendly, it’s always clean, and it’s very affordable.

Comfort and community, you’re treated like you’re right at home here. Came for Valentine’s Day breakfast and received a complementary rose that was a nice touch. There’s always someone ready with a warm up for your coffee and everyone is happy to help.

Morning staff is great, evening staff is young and learning. Atmosphere is loud and open!! If you want to eat on display and hear everyone’s conversation this is your place.
Under new management and I’ve witnessed some unprofessional behavior towards staff. Hopefully this will be corrected. I go here to eat not engage in employee relations!
