This was our first visit to this restaurant. We were looking for something close, so decided to stop. You order up front and they bring the food to your table. I ordered the Oyster plate and when it came out they had added a few extra fried oysters on my plate and a piece of white fish to try, which was super kind. My sides were Mac & cheese and coleslaw. Everything was amazing. Hubby got a sampler plate. Everything was delish.
The only thing I can say is they cook in an open grill in the order area. So you do wind of smelling a little like fried food when you leave. Really, no big deal but it’s worth mentioning.
Also, all the staff was super nice and that made the restaurant even better. Great meal and we’ll be back the next time we’re in WV.

We ate here on a visit from out of town. The food was great and the workers both friendly and helpful. It was a little odd to get fish and higher end food in take-out Styrofoam boxes but aside from that, the food was hot, fresh and very tasty. The tartar sauce and cocktail sauces were fresh and tasted homemade. My boyfriend ordered the catfish and – yes, it was a WHOLE catfish. Now, I would not have liked that but he said it was delicious. He got a side of friedokra that was tasty and huge portion. I ordered a mixed platter of fish, chicken and shrimp with 2 sides, green beans and coleslaw. All well made. A great experience, I would definitely go back!

Ordered the chicken livers cause I love those. They smelled so delish & was quite scrumptious! I ordered a side salad too with hush puppies and Mac& cheese. I haven’t sampled the salad yet but it’s beautiful for only 2.99. The livers came with sauces I didn’t even ask for so that’s a plus too!! The cashier and the man behind the counter were very friendly as well.

The food was delish!

Food better than average. Average service time. The fried fish is corn meal breaded.
Disappointments : Expensive $52 for 2 people. The problem charging an upscale price when have no servers . You have to go to counted to order and get your food . Then EVERYTHING is in a Styrofoam to go tray. Liked the nature played on TV .

Wonderful service! Tammi was the sweetest & so very helpful! We had the chicken livers & asked them to not over cook them! They were perfect! Crab cakes & okra were delicious! Thank you for a wonderful new place to try when we are in town!

A much needed addition to Summersville!! Service was fast and friendly. The gentleman who waited on us brought our (delicious) sides of mac and cheese out first, which we all appreciated. Our orders included grilled whitefish, grilled salmon, and a fish po boy. My fiance was so happy and impressed that he got an extra piece of fish with his sandwich! Also, I ordered a side of fried okra and received a large basket! The quality is great along with the prices. We will definitely be back!

First time here. I ordered the crab cake platter with green beans and rice. Also added 6 Jumbo grilled shrimp. My husband ordered the Fried Oyster PoBoy with fries. We each ordered a small fountain pop. Our order came to about $41.00. I was not thrilled with my meal at all. I was hoping that some part of it would be good, but sadly, it was not. My shrimp were not Jumbo in size. The green beans had no flavor at all. They tasted like they were just heated up out of the can. The rice had something on it, but it wasn’t flavorful either. The crab cakes were the best from the items I ordered. Not the best I have ever had, but they were flavorful. My husband thought his PoBoy was ok. He said he wouldn’t order it again but that he would go back and try something else. It is nice to have a different dining option available in this town. If fried fish is to your liking, then you should give it a try. They did have many options in the menu.

We ordered take-out fried shrimp and fish. Everything was delicious. Large, very reasonably priced portions of lightly battered jumbo shrimp and fish which were obviously fried in clean oil. Very friendly service. I would highly recommend.

Tried this place due to other good reviews while on vacation in the area. My husband and I both got the white fish plate. It was very thin, about 1/4 in. thick and was mostly corn meal. What little white fish was inside was watery and didn’t taste done. It sure wasn’t flaky. Hushpuppies were like what you buy in supermarket, nothing special at all. Slaw and fries were decent. Corn tasted like it was very old. Tarter Sauce was tasteless. Certainly large portions, but would rather have small portions and have good food. Threw over 1/2 in trash. Regretted not going across the street to Long John Silvers.
