As soon as I stepped inside, I was enveloped by an overwhelming sense of coziness that instantly transported me back to my childhood home. The warm welcome I received from the staff felt so genuine, reminiscent of my mom’s joyful greetings every time I return home. It truly set the tone for what turned out to be an incredible dining experience.
We decided to order two bowls of menudo, and when they arrived, they were served hot and fresh, steaming beautifully in front of us. I have to admit that I usually shy away from Mexican restaurants these days; it seems like many have strayed from the authentic flavors I grew up with. But coming from a Mexican family, my standards for Mexican food, especially here in California, are pretty high.
What pleasantly surprised me was witnessing a mother and her son managing the restaurant all on their own. Their dedication and passion were evident in every aspect of the meal. The moment I tasted the food, it transported me straight back to my mother-in-law’s inviting kitchen. It was as if I had never left home; I felt a deep sense of comfort and nostalgia enveloping me throughout my meal.
Adding to the atmosphere was the carefully chosen music, which brought back memories of Sunday mornings spent at home, when my mom would be busy cleaning and singing along to her favorite tunes. It’s rare for me to find a Mexican restaurant that resonates with my expectations and tastes, especially since my arrival here, but this place truly hit the mark.
I can confidently say that I’ll be returning here often, and I genuinely hope they maintain the same high quality. Keep up the fantastic work!

This place have change names a few times but one thing that has been consistent is really good Mexican food. Bueno Dias Burrito is always great. Potatoes Tacos are delicious. Wash it down with a orange Fanta. Also try the tortas. If you ever in San Marcos by the high school stop by Tony’s it is well worth it.

I stopped in for my first time while working in the area. My special order breakfast burrito was . I asked for many specifics, even asked them to brown my tortilla since all the pics show an undercooked tortilla. I like their napkins and the variety of salsa at the salsa bar is a great. The salsa was ok. If I’m passing through here, I know there’s a taco shop I can count on. Not bad Tony! Orange chairs aren’t comfortable so get a table if you’re able.

Food here is good, staff are friendly. Not sure why it only has 3.7 stars. I recommend Tony’s special plate and a la Diabla tacos.

Good flavors but unfortunately bad first experience. It was my first time trying the place and there was a hair in my food. They need to wear hairnets and improve their handling.

Great food, prompt service, good atmosphere, the only thing to critique is the prices are a little too high.

I frequent this shopping mall and have tried this spot a few times now- not only do the male workers look so you like a piece of meat, but the food is overpriced and under flavored (you have to drown your food in salsa to taste anything). The girl who took my order at the front was nice but you expect more for the price you pay

Good burritos. The chicken in my burritos had a few pieces of cartilage which wasn’t appetizing but otherwise it was fresh and delicious.
