This diner is everything you could want: cheap prices, large portions, and a super friendly staff. My friend got the ginormous pancake with strawberry jam on top, which he enjoyed. The jam was fresh and sweet. I ordered the corned beef hash special which was mixed with heavy whipping cream, cayenne, and green onion. I really liked the crispy exterior, and the inside was creamy with large, real chunks of corned beef mixed throughout the potatoes.

We made a huge mistake here at this local staple. We ordered TWO pancakes along with our meals. And not only were those guys enough to sate a Roman cohort, they were tasty as well. We got them with blueberries inside, which were perfect.

The other meals are generous and well priced. There’s not a huge variety on the menu, but you should be able to find something that hits your spot.

Ok, it’s a dive. But the food is really good. Fast, friendly staff. $3 coffee and free refills. Pancakes are great, omelette are huge. I really like the hash browns. Prices are low, quality is high. I enjoy it every time I come in.

At this point, my boyfriend and I are regulars. The food is always tasty, hot, and fast; the coffee is the same. The service Cathy and Christian provide is attentive and kind. Having a quick chat is like catching up with an old friend. They often have specials, 2 of which are show below. Spinach and cheese omelette, andouille sausage and eggs. We also got coffee and French toast which all came out to $30 plus, we have leftovers. I will go here until I move out of state, and even then I’ll make the effort to take a trip. Cash only, they have an ATM in back.

Great restaurant that has not changed in decades. Best coffee and pancakes I’ve had at a diner. I will return with the family to try lunch menu. Overall a great experience eating in a diner that is a true classic. Other diners try but cannot build same retro authentic spot. Cash only.

A classic greasy spoon lost in time right outside of downtown Madison. If you want a time warp check out this place. The inside has a counter w stools, cash register, a kitchen and a few tables also. Well lit and clean. The service was very prompt. I had to try the corned beef hash w egg cooked to your style and buttered toast. It was amazing. The price for Madison was affordable. Parking lot parking is limited but I got a spot. Also plenty of free street parking.

I had the Steak and Eggs. The steak was done perfectly and was very good. Service was very quick. Next time, I’ll be adding hash browns for sure. This spot is cash only.

This one was a tuff one to review. The waitress was super friendly. Which in turn kept the review from a 3. 1st it’s cash only. Has an atm inside but it had no cash inside so I had to go to a gas station to pay. 2nd, the restroom needs attention. Having tp on the floor was kinda gross. The toilet also has a serious wobble. The eggs were good. Fries/hashbrowns were interesting. The steak looked a bit small but was okay. Again the waitress was nice & had it not been for her the review would’ve been lower.

This is the greasy spoon you know from every movie. The sign says EAT and the tables are worn from heavy use. Coffee was burnt just right and the special of the day (Italian Omelet) was intriguing in a way that makes you wonder how it can be good, but it was delicious! The server, owner, and regulars have their friendly banter but don’t leave out new faces.
