I do not remember a hong kong style cafe being this good outside of San Francisco in a long time! The place is crazy busy, even on weekdays when they’re searving cisco employees. Its probably best to turn up here after 1 PM or 30+ mins prior to closing at 2:30 PM. Everything from the very nice decor inside to the marble like tables and of course the menu! Even though most of the items here are hong kong style like baked noodles and rice or chow fun or fried rice or even the sizzling plates! (This place replaced pepper lunch that used to focus on those) The “fusion” part about all of this is their way of fusing japanese style dishes like omurice with other chinese style dishes and more! I didnt get to try them as they were not available at the time of dining. What I did try was their sizzling plate seafood udon that had tons of flavor and of course, came out sizzling! I also tried out their stuffed lobster balls that are deep fried and have a sweet cheese filling in them that was yummy but also very hot in temperature! I do wish the sizzling plate was a little more non stick but its ok. Service was also very quick and attentive too with multiple water rounds as needed. The only thing they never provide though are physical menus, they’re only done by a online ordering portal thru a QR code, multiple devices each can order their own thing and the tab will update automatically like a google drive document instantaneously! This also made check out easy as well! Definitely will come back to try more of the menu soon like the baked seafoods!

Just came back from Uncle Cha Fusion Cafe for the second time this week — this place is legit good! We ordered the HK-style lava milk puff and it was so authentic, tasted exactly like the ones I had in Hong Kong. The curry beef udon was super comforting and flavorful — rich curry broth, tender beef slices, and those thick chewy udon noodles that soaked up all the spices perfectly. Not too heavy, but seriously satisfying. Also tried their cheese pineapple bun with pork chop and it was amazing — crispy pineapple crust on top, soft and fluffy inside, plus that insane melty cheese pull with the juicy pork chop. Total game-changer, we finished the whole thing no problem lol.
Drinks were on point too. The Hong Kong milk tea was spot on — strong, silky smooth, and just the right sweetness, tasted exactly like the real deal from HK. Their lemon tea and yuanyang were solid as well.
Service was really nice — staff were friendly and quick even though it was pretty packed. Felt super welcomed. Portions are generous and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Already craving it again and definitely coming back next week. Highly recommend if you’re in Milpitas and want real-deal Asian fusion without the fancy price tag!

Small cafe, great food. A bit busy and some wait but the food was worth it. Service was nice despite their rush. I recommend the curry fish balls and strangely, the cheese burger. Would definitely go again

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely amazing dining experience!

I’m so impressed with this restaurant ~everything was perfect from start to finish. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion size you get, which makes it an incredible value. Every dish we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into both the ingredients and the cooking.

The food was delicious across the board ~from the crispy fried items to the fried rice and the soup, everything tasted rich, balanced, and comforting. Drinks were also great and refreshing. Nothing felt rushed or careless; every dish came out hot and full of flavor.

The environment is wonderful. The restaurant is clean, modern, and very cozy, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with friends or family. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and it’s perfect for both casual dining and special occasions.

Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. This is definitely a place I’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for great food, fair prices, and a lovely dining environment!

Uncle Cha is a very family-friendly Hong Kong–style café and a great place to dine with kids and family.

The food is consistently good and well prepared. The baked rice dishes are rich but not heavy, with generous portions. The minced meat and beef rice with a runny egg are flavorful and comforting. The stir-fried rice noodles have great wok flavor without being oily, and the salmon rice bowl is light and tender, perfect for both adults and kids. Even the fries are crispy and not greasy.

The restaurant is clean, comfortable, and service is quick, which makes dining with family stress-free.
Definitely a place we would come back to again.

This place is bright and clean. Service is good and they has many waiters working at night (came for dinner).

We ordered:
– Curry Fish Ball: Very Good. The fish ball is “bouncy” and these are with the right texture – the good authentic fish balls. The curry sauce is decent with a kick and not too spicy.

– Uncle Omurice with Unagi: Average. It’s flavorful. However, the egg is pretty thin layer and pretty well cooked. I had it elsewhere that the egg was thicker and softer. Also, the rice is too firm. It would be nicer if the rice is softer and fluffy.

– Salted egg yolk fried chicken wings: Good. You can definitely taste the egg yolk flavor and not too salty. It’s crunchy and tasty.

– Stirred Fried cabbage with chili and fermented tofu sauce: Average, flavor is there but it’s better if the veggies were Ong Choy.

– Rice Rolls (Cheung Fun) with two kinds of sauces (Hoisin and sesame): Worse dish out of all. Tasted like microwave cheung fun and it’s very dried.

– Iced lemon tea: So-so. Very weak lemon flavor. Tea flavor is average.

Sometimes there a line of people waiting outside. Please prepare to wait if you come during peak time or weekends.

Great price, great selection, great service.

I took my daughter here on a date for lunch. We arrived at 1130 but didnt get to eat first round.
Dont worry, the line goes fast because a lot of people don’t wait around for their table!

The food made this Hong Kong born lady very happy.
Will definitely visit again!

Giving it one star because I would not come back here. Definitely NOT worth the 1hr wait. This restaurant made me lose faith in influencers. Don’t expect authentic Hong Kong food but also don’t expect fusion food because nothing tastes like much! The curry fishball should’ve been the easiest dish to make but the flavor was barely on the surface. The milk pudding barely looked like the photo and was too expensive. The baked chicken and pork rice plate? There was no flavor. No thanks influencers.
