From the moment I walked in, AVA Restaurant Bar & Lounge gave pure tropical luxury. The décor is stunning gold accents, floral ceilings, and warm lighting that makes you want to sit back and stay awhile.
I started with the Coconut Shrimp, which were perfectly golden and crispy with just the right touch of sweetness from the dipping sauce. The tostones were cooked to perfection crisp on the outside, soft inside, and beautifully presented with an orchid garnish.
The music, service, and ambiance were all on point. Everyone was welcoming, the vibe was chill yet lively, and the attention to detail in both presentation and flavor made it such a memorable dining experience. Definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in the area tropical, elegant, and full of flavor. ✨

Absolutely outstanding! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuine. The atmosphere was inviting and beautifully set, making it perfect for a relaxed dinner or a special celebration
The food was incredible — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can tell the chef puts real care into every plate. The drinks were amazing as well, and the presentation was top-tier.

Before I even begin, the owners of this establishment have wholly underprepared their staff to handle the brunch service they are currently offering. Came here for a friend’s Birthday. They offer a 90-minute brunch service that is advertised on their site for $30 vs $40 on the menu in the restaurant. Those 90 minutes, if you’re luck, will net you 2 drinks. The food is honestly not bad, but you should be very aware of the portion you are getting. My eggs Benedict were 2 English muffins with only one egg. I returned this for a breakfast burger ONLY to ensure I get most of my money’s worth. Multiple people in my party were underwhelmed and unsatisfied with the portions, including the amount of lamb chops, the seasoning of the steak, and the eggs. The fries were soggy, and multiple people compared our bad experiences during our meal. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend people to come here yet. Friends warned me about the service, and I chalked it up to beginner’s mistakes. I pray that service improves and that the owners become aware of the public experiences and opinions. Thankfully, we were determined to have a good time, and our waiter and server did the best they could with the resources they have been given.

BUNS ABSOLUTELY BUNS. Very Disappointing. Food terrible, Service Terrible, Drinks are just something else. The drink I ordered came but was put in a plastic cup. Not once have I EVER been disappointed of a place but this one right here straight up EMBARRASSING ! We waited over 50 minutes to an hour prior of us getting there and to get a table. When we did get our table all of the recent customers items ( drinks ) ( plates ) etc, It was still there let alone the table wasn’t even clean at all after we had sat down it took them about almost 10 to 15 minutes for them to clean it. Waited and waited and waited for our food after 20 minutes it came. The water was absolutely DISGUSTING reason being was because one of our friends saw that it had a DEAD or ALIVE ROACH inside i don’t know. Food was absolutely atrocious the pasta i ordered being Fettuccine Alfredo Pasta was absolutely disgusting it had A bunch of grease it looked like it came out of a microwave reheated and wasn’t even being made fresh. The taste was horrendous absolutely horrendous. If my brother had been there he would’ve absolutely shamed the place itself and the food. I would’ve had a better chance of him being in the kitchen cooking the food than who ever made my food and he’s only 16. FIRST AND LAST TIME Ill EVER set foot in there AGAIN. This place in my opinion has to close up. Enough said i’m ashamed. Here will be a picture of how my food looked like if anyone wants to considered it food. I love how they had the audacity to charge $400 for absolutely disgusting food.

I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant. I’ve seen alot of good reviews, so while coming back from NYC I decided to stop in. The restaurant is really nice inside. The decor was very nice. let’s talk about what really matters the food and drinks. We got the rumpunch, not much rum a whole lot of punch. The food is supposed to be JA/PR fusion but it had 1 PR item, Empanadas and 1 JA item, jerk chicken which was underwhelming.They didn’t have any salad dressing at all. I was disappointed in the food and drinks.

Bryan, the owner, helped us organize a 50th birthday celebration for twin sisters. These arrangements accommodated a party of 19 women, which was no easy task. Not only were they very accommodating, but they were also very upfront and present. The DJ was everything!
The staff ensured our brunch festivities ran smoothly. I highly recommend this establishment for anything from dinner for two to a personal birthday celebration. We plan to return and frequent this place because they are amazing, and we totally stand by it.

The server was very attentive and their drinks are really good. The Jamaican Jungle was amazing and they light the cinnamon stick with a lighter in front of you to enhance the flavor of the drink. The food was ok. I didn’t enjoy my mofongo. The restaurant was super cold and I’m pretty sure there was no heat. They dont have hookah on weekdays, something they should reconsider. At one point, they were playing mariachi music and I found myself yelling over the music because it was so loud. Over all, it was sub-par.

We went for Valentine’s Day and it was honestly a huge disappointment. They had a prix fixe menu and raised the prices for the holiday, which we expected but the worst part is we didn’t even get a chance to order our entrée because everything was already sold out.
The service made it worse. Our waiter completely forgot about us, and the place wasn’t even packed. We were sitting there for long stretches with no check-ins, no updates, nothing.
Definitely not the Valentine’s experience we were hoping for. Very unorganized and disappointing. We won’t be back.

Had the pleasure of visiting this establishment. I ordered the fried rice with shrimp which was very tasty . I also ordered the barbecue wings. And fries. All the food was great. The service was amazing. The music was also great too. Very very very great place to vibe too. Very hip and very trendy. Nice drink specials. They also make a fun tasting rum punch. Happy eating

Honestly writing this a bit drunk although this place is def not not the best. First time here and strait out the gate roach in the water, red flag and honestly should have been our sign to go. But my group stayed, the atmosphere is very friendly and nice staff is seems welcoming. However the drinks were not really portrayed in the photos of the menu, and when we order they took a long time to get here and were given to us one at a time. Food was not great and messed up my order and my friends orders were not appetizing. Drinks were served in plastic cups. Would honestly love to see improvements to this place since the atmosphere is so much fun. However the quality is very lacking.
They also add things to the tab such as my friend ordering mufungo and add a steak order to it. Clearly I would love if they couldn’t make some improvements, but until then this place is not really a great place to go to, which is a shame because it seems like such a nice area to be in. I’m leaving in a review
